【摘要】 随着产业链创新链融合发展,诸多电气“卡脖子”技术难题得到了解决,越来越多的控制器开始走向国际市场,其用户指南的英译需求也随之增长。译文质量的优劣事关消费者的购买意愿,事关用户的规范操作,事关国内外电气技术的交流。然而,目前市场上行文呆板、生硬牵强的译文层出不穷,削弱了产品在目标市场的竞争力。电气设备的控制器用户指南翻译亟需有效的理论指导和实践探索。本报告是基于《EM510C拉丝机一体化控制器用户指南》汉英翻译实践的分析总结。该文本属于信息型文本,具有语气正式、陈述客观、行文规范、术语专业性强等特点。此类文本的翻译应注重信息传递的准确性、清晰性以及可接受性。为此,笔者以彼得·纽马克的交际翻译理论为理论基础。该理论强调信息传递的效果,特别关注目的语读者的理解和反应,与本翻译项目的翻译目标契合,适于指导并总结此次翻译实践。在本报告中,笔者首先介绍了翻译项目背景和源语文本特点,梳理了拟解决的关键问题以及翻译过程;其次,笔者总结了交际翻译理论的主要观点及其对用户指南翻译的适用性。在交际翻译理论的指导下,笔者从词汇、句法和风格层面分析了翻译过程中遇到的主要难点,并总结相应的翻译策略。主要难点涉及词汇层面的名词群、修辞性词汇和范畴词,句法层面的无序列表和有序列表、无主句和意合复句,以及风格层面需实现的亲和性、清晰性和简洁性。针对这些难点,笔者尽可能摆脱原文语言形式之束缚,充分发挥译入语优势。具体的翻译策略包括结构重组、词性转换、释义、增译、省译等。希望此报告能为同类文本的翻译实践提供一些借鉴和启示。更多还原

【Abstract】 The integration of the industry chain and innovation chain has contributed to the solutions to critical problems in the electrical industry.More and more controllers have stepped into the global market,followed by a growing demand for the translation of their user guides.The quality of translation can exert a great impact on customer purchase intention,standard user operation,and electrical technology exchange at home and abroad.However,there is an ever-increasing number of clumsy and stiff translations in circulation,making the products less competitive in the target market.The translation of user guides for controllers of electrical equipment is in dire need of effective theoretical guidance and practical exploration.The report is based on the C-E translation of User Guide for EM510C Wire Drawing Machine Integrated Controller.The User Guide is an informative text characterized by a formal tone,objective statement,standard language,specialized terminologies,etc.Its translation is primarily intended to deliver the original message in a precise,clear,and acceptable manner.To that end,the report is theoretically based on Peter Newmark’s communicative translation which focuses essentially on the effect of the message delivered as well as the comprehension and response of the target readers.The theory is consistent with the translation aim and appropriate for offering insights into the translation task.Firstly,the report introduces the translation task,the features of the source text,the problems to be solved,as well as the translation process.What follows are the main principles of the communicative translation theory and its applicability to the User Guide translation.Under the guidance of the theory,the report analyzes the translation difficulties at the lexical,syntactic,and stylistic levels,and concludes with some strategies.The difficulties include noun strings,figurative words,and category nouns at the lexical level,bulleted and numbered lists,non-subject sentences,and paratactic compound sentences at the syntactic level,and friendliness,clarity,and concision to be achieved at the stylistic level.The overall solution to the difficulties is to break free from the constraints of the original form and give full play to the advantage of the target language.The specific translation strategies include restructuring,transposition,paraphrasing,addition,omission,and so on.It is hoped that this report can provide some references and enlightenment for the translation of similar texts.更多还原
