【摘要】 随着中华文化迈向世界舞台,国内学界也逐渐开始聚焦海外汉学界对中国古典小说的研究。《醒世姻缘传》研究已历经百年并取得了较为丰厚可观的成果,但此部百回巨著的海外研究并未受到应有的关注。目前国内尚未出现对《醒世姻缘传》在英语世界的研究成果作整体梳理的系统、完整介绍的学术文献,因此本文是第一部对英语世界中《醒世姻缘传》的研究材料进行汇总与归纳的硕士论文。由于英语世界的《醒世姻缘传》研究成果比较零碎也并不浩繁,历时性特征不明显,且研究成果多数都集中在极个别学者身上,因此本文选择按照搜集材料的研究方向和内容进行分类梳理。其中,特别侧重于从中华文化国际传播研究角度,介绍与分析西方视野下古典小说研究呈现出的异质性。本论文有绪论、正文和结语三个部分。绪论部分介绍了本论文的选题背景、学术价值和研究内容,以及《醒世姻缘传》在国内外的研究现状。正文部分包括六个章节,涵盖了英语世界《醒世姻缘传》研究独具特色的六个方面。第一章集中讨论了《醒世姻缘传》的译介问题,本章通过分析英语世界的两个节译本——王际真译本和奈伦译本来评判《醒世姻缘传》译介内容的得与失。第二章是英语世界对《醒世姻缘传》考证探源和主题思想研究的新视角,对看似已盖棺定论的国内传统研究在异域文化中呈现的新颖色彩给予了关注。第三章考察了英语世界对《醒世姻缘传》中医者形象这一极具中华文化特色的职业群体的关注。第四章以西方文论体系中女性主义研究视角切入,剖析小说中描写的“泼妇”薛素姐、“母亲”晁夫人以及封建社会中“妾室”等中下层女性形象的深度意蕴。第五章是对小说文本的叙事学研究,主要包含叙事风格、叙事者和叙事结构。第六章是英语世界对《醒世姻缘传》的风俗文化研究,通过他者视角来审视中华传统文化与古代社会风俗,包括中国古代的宗教、法律和典狱文化、婚姻风俗等。结语总结了英语世界研究《醒世姻缘传》的思路、视野及方法的创新,以及分析了英语世界《醒世姻缘传》研究的价值与局限性,希望对今后的中华文化国际传播提供一些借鉴与思考。《醒世姻缘传》这一文本将成为一种媒介或者是一面镜子,帮助我们看到英语世界想象中或认识中的中国古典小说以及中华传统文化。对英语世界中《醒世姻缘传》传播、译介、研究成果的研究有利于我们将来思考并选择更高效、健康、具有持久影响力的传播方式推广中华文化。更多还原

【Abstract】 With the spread of Chinese culture worldwide,some researching findings of China’s classical novels made by overseas sinologists have caught the attention of Chinese academia.The studies of Xingshi Yinyuan Zhuan have been plentiful over the last century,but how it is studied outside China has barely discussed.There has been no academic literature which introduces the fruits of Xingshi Yinyuan Zhuan in English-speaking world both systematically and comprehensively by now.Therefore,this thesis is the first one in China to summarize the research materials of Xingshi Yinyuan Zhuan in English-speaking world.Generally speaking,relevant researches are fragmentary and limited,among which there is no diachronic clue to follow.Meanwhile,most of the researches are made by several specific scholars.Based on this situation,the materials collected is arranged by their research directions and contents.From the perspective of international communication of Chinese culture,this thesis lays particular emphasis on the Otherness displayed by the studies on Chinese classical novels in English-speaking world.Besides the introduction and conclusion,this thesis consists of six chapters that cover various aspects of the studies on Xingshi in English-speaking world.The introduction explains the background,academic value and research content of this study,as well as the research status at home and abroad.Chapter One focuses on the translation and introduction of Xingshi Yinyuan Zhuan.It evaluates the gains and losses in its circulation by analyzing two English versions translated by Chi-chen Wang and Eve Alison Nyren.Chapter Two provides a new perspective of textual research and theme research in English-speaking world,rethinking the traditional approach under the background of foreign cultures.Chapter Three examines the particular interest of Western scholars’ in the image of traditional Chinese doctors who constitute a unique occupation with Chinese features.Chapter Four,from the perspective of feminism,explores the implication of the female images like "Shrew","Mother" and "Concubine’ who belong to the middle and lower classes in China’s feudal society.Chapter Five mainly discusses the narrative of this novel,including its narrative style,narrator and narrative structure.Chapter Six is concerned with the studies on the customs and culture in English-speaking world,which examines the traditional Chinese culture and ancient social customs from the perspective of Other,including the ancient Chinese religion,law and prison culture,marital customs and so on.The conclusion summarizes the innovation of directions,visions and methods of the studies on Xingshi Yinyuan Zhuan in the English-speaking world,and their evaluate the values and limitations,with the help of which the thesis tries to provide some references and reflections for the international communication of Chinese culture in the future.Xingshi Yinyuan Zhuan will be a medium or a mirror,making us see the imagination or interpretation of Chinese classical novels and traditional Chinese culture in English-speaking world.The research on the communication,translation and research findings of Xingshi Yinyuan Zhuan in English-speaking world will help us to think,and further to figure out a more efficient,healthy and lasting way of communication to promote the influence of Chinese culture in the future.更多还原
