约翰·斯道雷文化霸权理论研究

【摘要】 我们这个时代的人类文化精神处于一种繁荣与危机并存的境况。斯道雷批判精英主义文化、工人阶级文化以及现代社会文化的同时,看到了现代人普遍的生存境遇,甚至洞察到了现代社会隐藏在繁荣后的深层危机。本文以斯道雷《文化理论与通俗文化导论》、《记忆与欲望的耦合》为研究对象,对其现代社会日常生活、消费主义、经济和政治进行系统的分析和解读,阐释文化霸权理论思想的独特观点。在斯道雷看来,文化霸权的实质是通过文化自觉接受并以非暴力控制的手段达到统治阶级与被统治阶级的利益共赢。它是一种特殊的权力,用以塑造“普遍共识”或赢得大众的赞同。斯道雷从文化救赎方面想要去解决现代社会繁荣背后面临危机给予了探索。在救赎路径的探索中,一方面梳理文化霸权理论中的斗争与协商、现实性与可能性及其表现形式、特征、困境;另一方面克服现代社会信息大爆炸所造成的文化多元化以及本土主导文化的缺失。斯道雷认为现代社会想要彰显人的主体超越性来抵御繁荣背后的危机就要凸显出文化维度。斯道雷独具创造性地提出了乌托邦式权力构建,以及本土文化权力构建这一文化救赎超越路径。更多还原

【Abstract】 The human cultural spirit of our era is in a situation where prosperity and crisis coexist.While criticizing elitism culture,working-class culture and modern social culture,Storey saw the common living conditions of modern people,and even insight into the deep crisis hidden behind the prosperity of modern society.This article takes Storey’s "Introduction to Cultural Theory and Popular Culture" and "The Coupling of Memory and Desire" as the research objects,and systematically analyzes and interprets his modern social daily life,consumerism,economy,and politics,explaining the unique perspective of cultural hegemony theory.In Storey’s view,the essence of cultural hegemony is to achieve a win-win situation between the ruling class and the ruled class through cultural conscious acceptance and nonviolent control.It is a special power used to shape a ’universal consensus’ or win the approval of the public.Storey explored the crisis behind the prosperity of modern society from the perspective of cultural redemption.In the exploration of the path of redemption,on the one hand,the struggle and negotiation,reality and possibility,as well as their manifestations,characteristics,and difficulties in the theory of cultural hegemony are sorted out;On the other hand,overcoming the cultural diversity and lack of local dominant culture caused by the information explosion in modern society.Storey believes that if modern society wants to highlight the transcendence of human subject to resist the crisis behind prosperity,it must highlight the cultural dimension.Storey creatively proposed the utopian power construction and the cultural redemption transcendence path of local cultural power construction.更多还原
