【摘要】 本文是一篇翻译实践报告。文本节选自《尤利乌斯·恺撒与罗马帝制的奠基》中的第7至9章。《尤利乌斯·恺撒与罗马帝制的奠基》是英国历史学家威廉·沃德·福勒的作品。该书是一本历史性文学专著,主要从历史、政治、经济、社会和军事等多个方面讲述以尤利乌斯·恺撒的生平为主线的罗马相关事实。笔者运用李长栓提出的“理解、表达、变通”框架来指导本次翻译报告的写作。理解方面主要讲述如何利用上下文和互联网解决语言理解错误和专业知识背景不足的问题;表达方面包括表述精简、匀称以及避免使用被动和保证语言通顺流畅;变通方面主要讲述通过增译、巧用成语和调整语序,以有效传达原文信息。通过本次翻译实践报告,笔者受益良多。首先,源文本属于历史题材类文本,讲述罗马的相关史实,对于笔者了解罗马历史和翻译历史类文本有巨大帮助;其次,写作本次翻译实践报告也提高了笔者将理论与实践相结合的能力;最后,笔者认识到历史文本翻译对译者的语言能力要求颇高,译者需要具备一定的双语转换能力以及深厚的语言功底。更多还原

【Abstract】 This is a translation report on Chapter 7 to 9 of Julius Caesar and the Foundation of the Roman Imperial System written by William Warde Fowler,who is a British historian.The book belongs to informative text,introducing the relevant facts of Rome with Julius Caesar’s life as the main line from the aspects of history,politics,economy,society and military affairs.The translator uses the “Understanding,Expression and Adaptation” Framework proposed by Li Changshuan to guide the translation report.In terms of understanding,it mainly describes how to use context and Internet to solve the problems of language understanding errors and insufficient professional knowledge background;expression includes concise and symmetrical expression and avoidance of passivity to ensure smooth language;and adaptation mainly describes how to effectively convey the original information by amplification,skillfully using idioms and adjusting word order.The translator has benefited a lot from this translation report.First of all,the source text belongs to the text of historical theme,telling the relevant historical facts of Rome,which is of great help to the translator to understand Roman history and translate historical texts.Secondly,it also improves the translator’s ability to combine theory with practice.Finally,the translator has realized that the translation of historical text requires a high level linguistic ability,and the translator needs to have certain bilingual conversion and profound language skills.更多还原
