【摘要】 本文是基于汉英笔译项目的实践报告。翻译材料选自中医医学读物《思考中药:纯中医思维下的方药入门课》,其主要内容是从中医传统思维出发介绍中医常用方药,旨在促进中医文化的交流与传播。笔者选取该书部分章节开展翻译实践,在翻译过程中,笔者发现并总结遇到的翻译难点,进而提出合理的翻译对策。该项目的源语文本涉及诸多中医理论和知识,语言特点表现为晦涩难懂且语义模糊。因此一词多义成为本次翻译实践报告遇到的较为显著的翻译难点。“一词多义”指的是一个词项具有多种不同的意义,且这些词项具有某种程度上的联系。根据词义引申机制,具体分为以下三类:(1)由于无等值物词导致的一词多义现象;(2)由于词语搭配导致的一词多义现象;(3)由于隐喻导致的一词多义现象。生态翻译学指出,译者应该发挥主体性、能动地选择合适的译语来适应翻译生态环境。本次翻译材料不光聚焦于静态形式的语言现象,也剖析了语言的动态变化,鉴于中医语言的模糊性,在解决策略设置上有一定限度和边界,体现出包容和精确的相适应。这对中医文本的一词多义现象具有重要的指导意义。在对中医语言这种极其复杂的表达进行翻译时要充分理解原文,在适应生态翻译环境的同时做出合适的译语选择。本报告以生态翻译学为理论指导,针对文本中出现的一词多义现象提出以下对策:(1)针对由于无等值物词造成的一词多义的表达,可以采用“注释”和“词素仿造”等对策。(2)针对由于词语搭配导致的一词多义的表达,可以采用“深化”和“浅化”等对策。(3)针对由于隐喻导致的一词多义的表达,可以采用“显化”和“增译”等对策。实践证明,上述翻译对策可有效解决本项目中由于一词多义导致的翻译难点。同时,笔者希望本报告能丰富中医文本中一词多义现象翻译对策的研究内容,以期为译者在遇到此类问题时提供一定的参考和借鉴。更多还原

【Abstract】 This article is based on the practice report of the Chinese-English translation project.The translation material is selected from the TCM(Traditional Chinese Medicine)reading“Thinking of Traditional Chinese Medicine: Introduction Course of Prescriptions under Pure Traditional Chinese Medicine Thinking”.This book mainly introduces the commonly used prescriptions of TCM from the traditional thinking of TCM,aiming at promoting the communication and dissemination of TCM culture.The author selects some chapters of the book to carry out the translation practice.In the process of translation,the author finds and summarizes the translation difficulties encountered,and then puts forward reasonable translation countermeasures.The original text of this project involves many TCM theories and knowledge,and the language features are obscure and unintelligible.Thus,the phenomenon of polysemy becomes a more prominent difficulty encountered in this translation practice report.“Polysemy” refers to the fact that a term has many different meanings and these terms are related to each other to some extent.According to the mechanism of word meaning extension,the difficulties are divided into the following three categories:(1)difficulty in translating polysemy due to non-equivalent words;(2)difficulty in translating polysemy due to collocation;(3)difficulty in translating polysemy due to metaphor.And corresponding countermeasures are implemented for each difficulty.Eco-translatology points out that translators should give full play to their subjectivity and actively choose the appropriate target language to adapt to the translation ecological environment.This translation material not only focuses on the static language phenomenon but also analyzes the dynamic changes of language.Given the ambiguity of TCM language,there are certain limits and boundaries in the setting of resolution strategies,reflecting the tolerance and accuracy of adaptation.This has important guiding significance for the polysemy phenomenon of TCM translation.When translating such extremely complex expressions in TCM language,it is necessary to fully understand the original text,and make appropriate choices of the target language while adapting to the ecological translation environment.Based on the guidance of Eco-translatology Theory,this report proposes the following countermeasures to deal with the polysemy phenomenon in the TCM text:(1)Countermeasures such as “Annotation” and “Morpheme Imitation” can be adopted for translating expressions of polysemy due to non-equivalent words.(2)Countermeasures such as “Particularization” and “Simplification” can be adopted for translating expressions of polysemy due to collocation.(3)Countermeasures such as “Explicit Translation” and“Amplification” can be adopted for translating expressions of polysemy due to metaphor.The practice proves that the above translation countermeasures can effectively solve the translation difficulties caused by polysemy in this project.At the same time,the author hopes that this report can enrich the research content of the translation countermeasures of polysemy in TCM texts,so as to provide some reference for translators when they encounter such problems.更多还原
