【摘要】 大学是一种功能独特的文化机构,是与社会的政治机构和经济既相互关联又起到传承、研究、融合和创新的高等学府。它不仅是人类文化发展到一定阶段的产物,它还在长期办学实践的基础上,经过历史的积淀、自身努力和外部环境的影响,逐步形成了一种独特的大学文化。本次翻译实践对象为英国大学,实践文本为 The Economic Role of UK Universities,属于信息型文本。本文为The Economic Role of UK Universities英译汉报告。笔者以彼得·纽马克的语义翻译与交际翻译理论为理论框架,尝试总结信息型文本的翻译方法和技巧,希望为以后信息型文本的翻译提供借鉴和启迪。本报告主要包括四章,其中,第一章是对翻译任务的描述,包括翻译选材、选材的目的以及翻译实践的意义。第二章主要介绍的是翻译的步骤,分为译前准备、翻译过程、译文校对三步。第三章是案例分析。首先介绍了彼得·纽马克的语义翻译与交际翻译理论。其次,从文本类型角度出发,分析该翻译理论指导The Economic Role of UK Universities翻译的适用性。最后从词语、句子、语篇三个方面来阐述该理论在本次翻译实践中得到的启示和收获,同时反省自身存在的不足。在翻译实践过程中,笔者根据语义翻译与交际翻译理论,选取恰当的翻译策略,力图在忠实传递原文精髓的基础上,最大限度地加深目的语读者对于英国大学经济角色的理解。同时,通过此次理论指导实践的翻译,笔者的翻译水平有了很大的提升,为以后翻译工作的开展打下了很好的基础。更多还原

【Abstract】 The university is a cultural institution with unique functions.It is an institution of higher learning that connects with the economic and political institutions of society and inherits,studies,integration and innovation.It is not only a product of the development of human culture to a certain stage.It is also based on the long-term schooling practice.Through the historical accumulation,its own efforts and the influence of the external environment,it has gradually formed a unique university culture.The object of this translation practice is British universities.The practice text is The Economic Role of UK Universities,which is an information-based text.This article is a Chinese-English translation of The Economic Role of UK Universities.The author takes Peter Neumark’s semantic translation and communicative translation theory as the theoretical framework,tries to summarize the translation methods and techniques of information-based texts,and hopes to provide reference and enlightenment for the future translation of information-based texts.This report mainly includes four chapters,of which the first chapter is a description of translation tasks,including the purpose of translation selection,material selection,and the significance of translation practice.The second chapter mainly introduces the steps of translation,which are divided into threre steps:pre-translation preparation,translation process,and translation proofreading.The third chapter is case analysis.First the writer introduced Peter Newmark’s semantic translation and communicative translation theory.Secondly,from the perspective of the text type,the analysis of the translation theory guides the applicability of the translation of The Economic Role of UK Universities.In the end,it elaborates the enlightenment and gains of the theory in this translation practice from three aspects:words,sentences,and discourses.At the same time,it reflects on its own insufficiency.In the process of translation practice,the author selects appropriate translation strategies based on the theories of semantic translation and communicative translation,and strives to maximize the understanding of the readers of the target language for the economic roles of British universities on the basis of faithful transmission of the essence of the original language.At the same time,through the translation of this theory to guide practice,the author’s level of translation has greatly improved,laying a good foundation for future translation work.更多还原
