【摘要】 现在是推动中国文化“走出去”的关键时期,中国典籍是中国思想文化的瑰宝,研究苏轼诗词英译亦是响应国家提升文化软实力、讲好中国故事的号召。苏轼在诗词的创作上取得了非凡的成就,其作品在中华诗词文库上画上了浓墨重彩的一笔。近几十年来,苏轼诗词是译者翻译的热点,各个译本层出不穷,在国内外受到了广泛关注,已然成为了中国古典文化具有代表性的文化符号。本文以苏轼诗词译者群体为研究对象,以译者行为批评理论为研究视角,在社会翻译学视域下从译者的译内行为和译外行为出发,描述该译者群体的行为特征,以“求真务实”连续统检验分析其行为的合理性。研究发现:1)苏轼诗词作品发行国家主要为美国和中国,美国译者群体译介苏轼作品主要在二十世纪六十年代至二十世纪九十年代,中国译者群体的译介活动则主要在二十世纪八十年代后,苏轼诗词的翻译阵营逐渐从国外转向国内;2)就苏轼诗词译者群体的译介内容而言,苏轼词的译介数量比诗歌数量更多;3)苏轼诗词的译者群体主要为学者、诗人、作家等具有较高文学素养的专业译者群体,采用了明显的“厚翻译”方法;4)国内苏轼诗词译者群体的译介内容包含范围更为广泛;5)综合考量译内视域和译外视域,苏轼诗词的译者群体呈现出以求真为主的翻译风格。苏轼是中国的历史名人,在国内外都具有深远的影响力,经典案例研究对当下推动中国文化外译具有重要的启示意义,有助于打造立足当代的优秀作品外译模式。本文以译者群体行为作为研究对象,将有助于客观理解和描述某一社会历史背景下的翻译活动,为以后开展翻译活动提供借鉴。更多还原

【Abstract】 We are now in a critical period to promote Chinese culture to “go global”.Chinese classics are the treasures of Chinese ideology and culture.Thus,the study of the English translation of Su Shi’s poems and ci-poems is also a response to the country’s call of enhancing cultural soft power and telling Chinese stories in a good way.Su Shi has made extraordinary achievements in poetry,which influence Chinese literature a lot.In recent decades,Su Shi’s poetry translation has become a hot topic for translators,and various translations have emerged endlessly,which have received wide attention both at home and abroad,becoming a representative cultural symbol of Chinese classical culture.With the translator group of Su Shi’s poems and ci-poems being the research object and translator behavior criticism theory being the theoretical basis,this thesis researches and describes the translator behavior of this translator group from the perspective of social translation studies by considering both the intra-translation and extra-translation dimension,in order to realize the rationality of their behaviors based on the“truth-seeking and utility-attaining” evaluative continuum.The results show that: 1)The countries that have published Su Shi’s poetry works are mainly in the United States and China,with the former from the1960 s to the 1990 s,and the latter from the 1980 s to the present.The translation center of Su Shi’s poem and ci-poems has gradually shifted to China.2)This translator group has translated more ci-poems than the poems.3)The translators participating in this translation activity are professional,most of whom are scholars,writers and poets,whose translated materials are also related to literature.As a result,the thick-translation method is adopted by most members of this translator group.4)Compared with the foreign versions,the translations of the poems and ci-poems by the Chinese translator group cover more contents.5)Most of the versions show a tendency of truth-seeking centered translator behavior by considering both the extra-translation and intra-translation dimensions.As a historical celebrity in China,Su Shi has shown huge influence both at home and abroad.Case research is of important value in promoting the Chinese culture to “go global”,as well as improving the translation model based on contemporary works.Taking the translator group’s behavior as the research object,this thesis may help to understand and describe translation activities objectively in a social and historical context,and provide a reference for further studies.更多还原
