【摘要】 高等工程教育是以科学技术为主要学科基础,以培养能将科学技术转化为生产力的工程师为目标的专门教育,是推动科技进步和技术创新的根本保证。当前我国高等工程教育改革已经站在新的历史起点,迫切需要新工程科技人才。《2018科学与工程指标》(2018 Science&Engineering Indicators)是针对美国当前工程教育现状最新、最及时、最全面且最综合的报告。将报告翻译出来可以及时地将重要信息传递给国内工程教育相关领域的研究者或教育管理人员。根据文本特征以及在文本翻译中所遇到的重难点问题,译者分别从形容词的翻译、非限定性定语从句的翻译以及英汉翻译中圆括号的翻译三个层面选择典型的案例进行分析、归纳和总结,旨在为相关翻译实践提供参考与借鉴。经总结可得出,对于形容词的翻译,可采用词义引申法、增词法;对于非限定性定语从句的翻译,可采用前置法、后置法、还原法、独立成句法;对于英汉翻译中圆括号的翻译,可采取保留圆括号、删除圆括号和转换圆括号的方法。更多还原

【Abstract】 Higher engineering education is a specialized education based on science and technology as the main disciplines and aims at cultivating engineers who can turn science and technology into productivity,which is the fundamental guarantee to promote scientific and technological progress and technological innovation.The reform of higher engineering education in China has stood at a new historical stage,and there is an urgent need for new engineering science and technology talents.The 2018 Science &Engineering Indicators is the latest,most timely,comprehensive and integrated report on the current status of engineering education in the United States.Translating the report will timely convey the important information to domestic researchers or educational administrators in engineering education related fields.Based on the characteristics of the text and the difficulties encountered in translation,typical cases were selected from three levels,namely,translation of adjectives,translation of non-restrictive attributive clauses and translation of parentheses in English-Chinese translation.By analyzing,summarizing and concluding,it aims to provide some reference for related translation.It can be concluded that,the translation methods of extension and amplification can be adopted to translate adjectives;the translation methods of combination,division,restoration and translating into independent sentence can be adopted to translate non-restrictive attributive clauses;and the translation methods of reserve parentheses,delete parentheses and transform parentheses can be adopted to translate parentheses in English-Chinese translation.更多还原
