【摘要】 本次翻译项目笔者所选择翻译的书籍是《翻译理论探索》(Exploring Translation Theory),由西班牙洛维拉维吉利大学教授安东尼·皮姆所著,罗德里奇出版公司(Routledge)于2010年初推出发行。整本书将近九万六千字,翻译由小组成员合作完成,该作品中涵盖了六大范式,即等值、目的、描写、不确定论、本土化和文化翻译,其中第八章的主要内容为“文化翻译”,共计一万两千余字。根据皮特·纽马克的文本类型分析理论,该文本属于信息型文本。译者以奈达的功能对等理论为指导,从词汇、句法和篇章三个方面对文本进行了深入的分析。译者结合交际翻译、语义翻译的翻译策略,采用了语义延伸、词性转换和句子重组等方法对文本进行翻译。目前,本书尚未出版正式的中文译本,因此具有被翻译成中文的价值。翻译本书的意义在于,就译作而言,本书涉及诸多的西方翻译理论为国内的翻译研究提供了新的思想,它对国内外的翻译研究的影响是值得期待的。在翻译过程中,译者不仅开拓了视野,对很多理论有了新的认识,而且,从这一过程中学习到的翻译理论知识与实践经验,这对译者专业素养的提升甚至未来的职业发展都具有指导意义,因此译者希望通过本次翻译实践为翻译理论的探索和翻译研究的发展贡献一份绵薄之力,同时也能够提高自身的翻译水平。更多还原

【Abstract】 The book that the translator has chosen to translate in this project is Exploring Translation Theory,which was written by Anthony Pym,a professor at the University of Villego,Spain,published by Rodriguez Company(Routledge)in early 2010.The whole book contains 96,000 words,which is completely translated by 6 team members.The work covers six paradigms,equivalence,purpose,description,uncertainty,localization and cultural translation.The translator is responsible for the Chapter 8,which mainly about “cultural translation”,with more than 12,000 words.According to Peter Newmark’s theory of text type analysis,this text belongs to informative text.The translator uses Nida’s functional equivalence as the theoretical guidance,and analyzes the text from three aspects: vocabulary,syntax and discourse.The translator combines communicative translation and semantic translation strategies and adopts such methods as semantic extension,conversion and sentence reorganization etc,to translate the text.At present,the formal Chinese version of this book has not been published yet,thus,so it has the value of being translated into Chinese version.As far as translation is concerned,this book involves many western translation theories that provide new ideas for domestic translation studies.Its impact on translation studies at home and abroad is worth looking forward to.During the translation process,the translator has not only broadened her horizons,but also gained new insights into many theories.Moreover,the theoretical knowledge and practical experiences which the translator gaines in this process offeres help for the future improvement of the translator’s professional quality and even for her future career development,so,its hoped that through this translation practice will contribute to the exploration of translation theory and the development of translation studies,and at the same time improve her own translation performance.更多还原
