【摘要】 《小说画报》是包天笑所创办的最为重要的杂志之一,于1917年1月创刊,与以《新青年》为代表的五四新文化有很多相似甚至不谋而合之处。第一章对《小说画报》的整体面貌进行一个大致的分析,首先是《小说画报》的封面、名称、广告等编辑形式,这些编辑形式能够显示包天笑等人朴素而不失个性的编辑特色。其次着重对《小说画报》的作家群体及其小说类型进行介绍,通过对《小说画报》作家群体的整体人格、风格的分析,指出他们并不是纯粹的“鸳鸯蝴蝶派”抑或是“民国旧派”,而且他们所创作的小说并不像民国时期那些言情小说那样流于媚俗,他们的小说类型主要集中在讽刺批判、爱国言情、爱情与金钱、教诲、家庭等方面,且以揭露批判、教育警醒为主,具有一定的进步性。最后对《小说画报》的绘图者及其中的图画进行分析介绍,《小说画报》的绘图者以钱病鹤为领衔者,在钱病鹤勇于批判讽刺精神的带领下,《小说画报》的图画也具有很强的进步性,“有味”与“有益”结合得非常巧妙,使读者在娱乐享受之外,获得一些有益的道理。这些进步性的编辑形式、杂志内容都为其与五四新文化进行比较奠定了基础。在第二章中,从思想上将《小说画报》与五四新文化进行比较。五四新文化运动中新文化运动者们对中国的传统进行了不遗余力地批判,而《小说画报》的参与者们却对中国的传统思想有所传承,对于激进的新文化运动有所纠偏。在西方思想方面,新文化运动者们全盘西化,而《小说画报》中的作家们却能够取其所长、去其糟粕,这样的精神难能可贵。对于平民思想,二者都能够有所吸收,这主要体现在小说的主人公和小说的真挚情感上,二者能够达到相互补充的良好态势。第三章主要介绍《小说画报》的超前姿态、先锋性质。在杂志语言上,《小说画报》是第一部白话文学杂志,虽然同年同月胡适也曾发表过提倡白话语言的言论,但并未付诸于实践。相反,《小说画报》率先刊载了白话小说。虽没能引领文坛语言的变革,但是这样的语言却也是“词取浅显,意则高深”,有着自己鲜明的特色。在小说体制上《小说画报》以短篇小说为主,而且这些小说全部都是作家自己创作的,完全没有翻译之作,这对于那个以“翻译为尚”的时代不失为一种反拨,而同时期的《新青年》并不以创作为主,还是有一定的翻译之作的。在杂志的形式上,《小说画报》插入了很多的图画,可谓是别开生面,不仅仅每篇小说都配以插图,而且每期杂志当中还会刊载很多关于戏剧、服装等方面的画图以及一些具有讽刺教育意义的滑稽画,相对于《新青年》中较为贫乏的插图、图画来说,《小说画报》中的图画非常丰富,并且其中还有一定的教育意义,如教育世人知羞耻、勿偷盗等等。第四章主要从杂志中的文学特色上进行分析,在叙事上、描写上《小说画报》都为之后的新文学奠定了深厚的基础。在叙事时间上,《小说画报》中的小说并不是以往一贯的连贯叙事了,而是加入了倒叙等叙事方式,形成了一定的错乱叙述的雏形。在叙事角度上,《小说画报》中的小说也并不是简单的全知全能的叙事方式了,而出现了以“我”为叙事角度的限制叙事。而在描写上,《小说画报》中的小说也有了心理描写、环境描写的影子,这些都对以往的旧小说有所改良,同时对日后的新小说也有一定的影响。总之,在杂志思想、杂志语言、杂志形式以及杂志文学特点等方面《小说画报》与五四新文化都有着非常密切的关系。更多还原

【Abstract】 As one of the most significant magazines set up by Bao Tianxiao,the illustrated novel magazine was founded in January,1917,which has so many similarities or even coincides with the May Fourth New Culture as represented by New Youth.The first chapter makes a general analysis of the overall appearance of the illustrated novel magazine.First,it analyzes the cover,name,advertisement and other editing forms of the illustrated novel magazine,which enables to show Bao Tianxiao’s simple and individual editing characteristics.Second,it emphasizes on the introduction of the illustrated novel magazine’s writer group and novel types.After analyzing the overall personality and style of the illustrated novel writer group,it points out that writers are not pure " Mandarin Duck and Butterfly School" or "old-school" of the republic of China.What’s more,they created novels which are not like those romance novels vulgarly during the period of the republic of China.In contrast,their novel type mainly concentrates on the satirical criticism,patriotic love,love and money,teachings,and family,etc.,and it gives first place to criticism,education,warning in some way progressive.Finally,the magazine is illustrated to analyze the drawers and pictures,and leading by Qian Binghe who had the spirit of satire and critical among the drawers,the pictures of the novel also have a strong progressive.Pleasure and Good combine subtly,which makes readers get both entertainment and useful truth.These progressive editing forms and magazine contents laid a foundation for the comparison with the May Fourth New Culture Movement.In the second chapter,the illustrated novel magazine is mentally compared with the May Fourth New Culture.Pioneers in the May Fourth New Culture Movement spares no effort to criticize the Chinese tradition,while the participants of the illustrated novel magazine inherited the Chinese traditional thought and corrected the deviation of the radical New Culture Movement.The pioneers of the New Culture Movement were totally Westernized.However,the writers in the illustrated novel magazine are able to take their advantages and discard their dregs,which is a valuable spirit.Both of them can absorb the thought of the common civilian and supplement each other,which are mainly reflected in the sincere emotions of the protagonists.The third chapter mainly introduces the leading posture and vanguard nature of the illustrated novel magazine.In terms of the magazine language,the illustrated novel magazine was the first vernacular literary magazine.Although Hu Shi also made a speech advocating vernacular language in the same month of the same year,it was not put into practice.On the contrary,the illustrated novel magazine first published vernacular novels.Although it has not been able to lead the change of the literary language,this style of language,with its own distinctive features,takes simple words and profound meanings.In terms of the novel system,the illustrated novel magazine is dominated by short stories that are created by the authors themselves,without any translated works,which is a reverse of the times when "translation is the most important".While in the same period The New Youth does not focus on creation,it has some of the translated works.In the form of magazines,the illustrated novel magazine inserts a lot of pictures,which are very special.Not only every novel is presented with illustrations,but also each issue has a lot of pictures about drama,clothing and so on,and every issue has some funny pictures with ironic and educational significance.Compared with The New Youth with relatively few illustrations and drawings,the pictures in the illustrated novel magazine are very rich,and there are certain educational significance,such as it shows that people need to know shame and humiliation and that people should not steal.The fourth chapter mainly analyzes from the perspective of the literary characteristics of the magazine,which lays a solid foundation for the new literature in the aspects of narration and description.In terms of narrative time,the novels in the illustrated novel magazine are not always coherent narration,but it adds flashbacks and other narrative methods,forming the rudiment of a certain degree of disordered narration.From the perspective of narration,the novels in the illustrated novel magazine do not use simple omniscient and omnipotent narration,but appear a limited narration from the perspective of "I".In terms of description,the illustrated novel magazine also has the shadows of psychological description and environmental description,which have improved the old novels and also have some influence on the new novels in the future.All in all,the illustrated novel magazine is closely related to the May Fourth New Culture in the aspects of magazine thought,language,form and magazine literary characteristics.更多还原
