【摘要】 此次模拟口译实践活动笔者选用了2015年Demis Hassabis博士在皇家电视学会和工程技术学院所做的关于人工智能的讲座的录音材料,进行了英汉模拟交替传译的工作。本论文基于笔者在模拟交替传译过程中的表现,旨在探索可行的方法来应对科技口译所带来的挑战。作者对整体的口译实践模拟过程进行了录音,将录音材料转写成了文字材料,并对此次的模拟交替传译实践进行了反思。作者着重归纳和分析了口译过程中出现的问题及原因。发现的问题有:漏译,错译和冗余。同时,作者针对问题,提出了一些可行的解决方案和建议。其中,通过提高听力技巧和降低认知负荷,可以有效解决漏译问题;进行相关学科的知识补充和提高笔记技巧,可以解决错译问题;解构和省略可用于解决翻译过程中的冗余问题。希望本论文能够为科技口译提供一定的借鉴和参考。更多还原

【Abstract】 The task material addressed in this reflective report is the recorded lecture given by Dr Demis Hassabis concerning the application of artificial intelligence technology at Royal Television Society and Institution of Engineering and Technology in November 2015.This report is based on the author’s own performance of simulated English-Chinese(E-C)consecutive interpreting,which was aimed at exploring what methods are feasible for dealing with the problems that have emerged in the interpreting process in the context of science and technology.This reflective report begins by introducing the preparation process.The problems that emerged in the interpreting process are then analyzed based on the recorded transcripts.Three categories of problems are identified: information loss,misinterpretation,and redundancy.Finally,based on the unique features of the source text and a comprehensive analysis of their causes,feasible methods of solving these problems are put forward with the aim of improving the quality of interpreting by,for example,developing interpreters’ listening skills,reducing the cognitive load,building extra-linguistic knowledge,developing note-taking skills and the use of reconstruction and omission.It is hoped that this report will provide interpreters with a further resource for dealing with scientific and technical interpreting tasks.更多还原
