【摘要】 亨利·菲尔丁是十八世纪英国最杰出的小说家和剧作家之一,同时也是英国启蒙运动的代表人物之一,被沃尔特·司各特称为“英国小说之父”。受到传统西班牙流浪汉小说影响,菲尔丁完成了他的著作《汤姆·琼斯》。直至今日,这部小说仍吸引着众多国内外的评论家和调查者进行研究。基于它在现代的流行和深刻影响,本文针对其对于传统流浪汉小说的继承和创新进行了一番解析。在本部作品中,我们不仅会看到许多流浪汉小说在主题、叙述、人物刻画及场景设置等方面的典型特征,更会发现亨利·菲尔丁在《汤姆·琼斯》中强调人性化了原则,运用了戏剧元素与第三人称的叙述方式,独创喜剧散文史诗文体,并以作者的身份频繁出现于作品之中,这是《汤姆·琼斯》基于传统流浪汉小说的创新与发展。本文共分为五个章节。除了引言和结论两部分外,文章的主体部分包括对流浪汉小说的调查,《汤姆·琼斯》对传统流浪汉小说的继承及创新。由于《汤姆·琼斯》中包含传统流浪汉小说的经典特点,其被称为广义上的流浪汉小说。第三章提出了本篇小说中的继承特点,并提出有力实例来支持论点。除此之外,小说中也有不同于传统流浪汉小说的独特的方面。因此,在第四章中,文章列出了一些创新点来说明亨利·菲尔丁如何在创作出与众不同的流浪汉作品。最后就是结论的章节。通过之前的解析,读者能够清晰地明白《汤姆·琼斯》中对于传统流浪汉小说的继承与创新。他既为当时的作家树立了典范,也给后世留下了重要的影响。更多还原

【Abstract】 Henry Fielding is one of the most excellent novelists and playwrights in the eighteenth century in Britain and one of the representatives of English Enlightenment.Influenced by traditional picaresque novels in Spain,he creates his masterpiece Tom Jones.Until now,it still attracts many studies by critics and researchers both at home and abroad.This thesis is conducted to give an interpretation of its succession and innovation of traditional picaresque novels.In this work,some typical features of picaresque novels can be found in themes,narrations,characterization and settings.However,Henry Fielding puts much emphasis on humanization in Tom Jones and applies dramatic elements and the third-person viewpoint to this novel.Besides,he uses his original and unique writing style called comic epic in prose.At the same time,Fielding shows up frequently.Those are new innovations and further development of Tom Jones based on traditional picaresque novels.This thesis is divided into totally five chapters.Besides the introduction and conclusion parts,the body part consists of the survey of picaresque novel,the succession of traditional picaresque novel on Tom Jones and its unique innovation.Containing some classical factors of traditional picaresque novel,Tom Jones is recognized as a picaresque novel in a looser sense.Chapter three includes some inherited factors and powerful examples support argument.There are unique aspects different from traditional picaresque novels.In chapter four,these innovation points are listed to illustrate how Henry Fielding makes a difference in picaresque works.At last,it comes to the conclusion chapter.Through interpretation in the previous parts,readers are able to make a clear comprehension about the succession and innovation of traditional picaresque novels existing in Tom Jones.He sets a good example for writers at that time,and also exerts essential effects on later generations.更多还原
