基于SDN的云数据中心虚拟机迁移策略研究

【摘要】 近年来,随着云计算技术的快速发展,虚拟机动态迁移技术作为云数据中心重要的支撑技术得到了广泛的应用和发展,它在数据中心负载均衡、容灾备份、系统维护等方面发挥重要的作用,尽管它具有诸多优势,但在跨数据中心网络场景下仍然面临性能降低问题,不能很好的满足企业和用户需求,因此广域网中虚拟机在线迁移性能问题也成为了目前云计算领域关注的热点之一。软件定义网络(Software Defined Network)作为新型网络架构,其核心思想是将网络控制功能从设备中分离,利用集中式控制器对网络进行控制和管理;具有管控分离、逻辑集中控制、可编程性等特点,能够很好地契合数据中心网络的集中网络管理、灵活组网多路径转发、虚拟机部署和智能迁移等方面的需求,因此将SDN引入到云数据中心网络具有很大的优势。本文基于SDN云数据中心架构下,从网络资源优化的角度考虑来改善虚拟机跨数据中心在线迁移网络带宽,提升虚拟机迁移性能。本文提出了基于动态路由和带宽分配策略(DRBP),该策略在SDN网络架构下是一种动态自适应策略。首先根据在线迁移数学模型讨论了影响虚拟机迁移性能的因素,提出了一种优化的带宽分配策略,该策略考虑了迁移总体时间、停机时间、迁移网络资源消耗等因素。另外借助于SDN网络架构对网络灵活管理控制的特性,采用动态路由机制为虚拟机迁移制定动态的路由转发规则,选择满足带宽需求的转发链路,并通过对SDN部署技术的研究讨论了基于SDN云数据中心架构下策略部署问题,最后完成虚拟机的迁移。本文的研究能够得出,在云数据中心互联网络中引入SDN架构,通过DRBP策略改善跨域网络下虚拟机迁移的网络传输带宽,从而减小虚拟机在线迁移时间,降低网络资源消耗,提高迁移性能。

【Abstract】 In recent years, with the rapid development of cloud computing technology, live migration of the virtual machine as important technology have been widely used and developed in cloud data center, which enables flexibility in data center load balance, disaster tolerance, system maintenance ,resource optimization and etc. Despite its usefulness, the live migration still introduces performance degradation over across WAN,which can not meet the demands of enterprises and users very well, so how to improve the migration performance over WAN has become a hot spot in the field of cloud computing.Software Defined Networks(SDN), as a new Network architecture,decouples the control plane from the network device, so as to realize the centralized control of the network. Network virtualization、 logic centralized control and network open interface can well fit for the centralized network management, flexible network path forward, the demand of VM deployment and migration in data center, So it will have great advantage for introducing SDN to cloud data center. In this paper,based on SDN cloud data center architecture, from the perspective of network resource optimization we improve the network bandwidth for online migration to optimize the performance of migration.In this paper, we propose based on dynamic routing and bandwidth-provisioning strategy(DRBP), which is dynamic and self-adaptive in SDN network architecture, firstly we discuss the relative factors affecting the performance of migration according to the mathematical model of online migration, and propose an optimal bandwidth allocation strategy, the overall time、downtime、migration resource consumption are taken into account in our strategy. In addition, dynamic routing mechanism is adopt to make routing rules and meet the demand of the bandwidth of path for migration.Through this paper, introducing SDN in the cloud datacenter network,DRBP strategy can improve the network transmission bandwidth for live migration across data center, and reduce the migration time, cut down the consumption of network resources and improve the performance of migration.
