【摘要】 本翻译报告的翻译材料选自约翰·科尔维诺和玛吉·加拉格尔合著的《同性婚姻的辩论》一书。通过采用“正方/反方”的写作手法,此书深入挖掘“同性婚姻”这一倍受争议的话题,双方作者都试图说服读者接受他们各自的观点。此议论文本语气随意轻松,多长句复杂句,多专业术语及名言引用。若要翻译出与原文相对应的文体风格及特征,尚需花费一番功夫。在凯瑟琳娜·瑞斯的文本类型的帮助下,基于尤金·奈达的动态对等理论,笔者从《同性婚姻的辩论》一书中选取了前言及第一章第一部分(“婚姻的目的”)作为翻译文本进行分析,努力对翻译过程中出现的问题进行分类和总结,并希望能够在动态对等理论的支撑下,找到一些此类文本的最佳翻译方法,为有志于此领域翻译的人提供借鉴。本翻译报告主要包括五个部分的内容:第一章,任务描述,包括对作者、翻译文本、任务要求以及文本类型进行介绍。第二章,翻译过程描述,包括译前准备,译中努力以及译后校对三个方面。第三章,理论框架——动态对等理论,此部分主要提供尤金·奈达及动态对等理论的背景介绍,为下文的分析奠定基础。第四章,案例分析。此章主要从动态对等理论出发,从各个角度细致系统地分析此理论在翻译中的应用。第五章,总结,包括对在翻译过程中的问题进行总结以及反思动态对等理论存在的局限性等。更多还原

【Abstract】 This is a translation report on Debating Same-Sex Marriage, which was written by John Corvino and Maggie Gallagher. By taking a "point/counterpoint" approach, this book goes deeply into the most controversial topic—same-sex marriage and the authors try to convince readers of their respective opinions. This argumentative writing material is rich in long and complicated sentences, proper names and famous quotations in colloquial style. It takes time to produce a stylistic effect and feature corresponding to that of the original. With the help of Katharina Reiss’ s text typology, the Introduction and the first part of Chapter one(What marriage is for) in the book of Debating Same-Sex Marriage is chosen for analysis on the basis of the theory of Dynamic Equivalence put forward by Eugene A. Nida. By carefully classifying and concluding the problems encountered in the process of translation, the author hopes to find the most appropriate translating methods for dealing with the informative text from the perspective of Dynamic Equivalence and provide some references for the people who are interested in it.This paper mainly includes five parts:(1) Task description, including introduction to the authors, the translation material, the requirement of the task as well as the type of the text;(2) Process description, consisting of the process of pre-translating, while-translating and post-translating;(3) Theoretical framework—Dynamic Equivalence. This part mainly provides some general introduction to Eugene A. Nida and his Dynamic Equivalence, which lay the foundation for later discussion;(4) Case Analysis. Taking different angles, the author analyzes the translation meticulously and systematically on the basis of Dynamic Equivalence.(5) Conclusion, including a brief summary on the difficulties and the problems with putting Dynamic Equivalence into practice.更多还原
