面向多租户的云计算数据中心网络保障系统

【摘要】 在云计算环境中,数据中心资源由租户共享使用。当租户将其应用或任务部署在基础设施上时,云计算环境需要为租户提供有效的性能隔离。而在当前的数据中心中,网络带宽通过best-effort的方式被使用,当一组虚拟机之间通信时,必然会影响共享相同链路的其他虚拟机,所以目前的云计算环境无法提供网络资源性能保障。面向多租户的云计算数据中心网络保障系统,通过提出特定的服务模型,使租户能够根据需求描述其虚拟数据中心的服务器资源与网络资源,然后由基于网络资源需求的虚拟数据中心放置策略进行资源分配,降低核心链路发送网络拥塞的可能性,为数据中心提供良好的网络环境;通过在数据中心每台服务器虚拟交换机上进行采样分析,实现对租户虚拟数据中心的网络通信速率监控,实时监测数据中心网络资源使用情况;然后分析监测的网络流,进行过滤、分类以及汇总,根据整理的数据预测租户虚拟机速率;最后根据预测结果,由调度策略对上行和下行链路网络带宽进行资源调度,在为租户提供网络性能保障的同时,充分利用空闲资源,提高网络资源的利用率。功能测试结果表明,面向多租户的云计算数据中心网络保障系统不仅能够实现上行链路最小网络带宽保障,同时也能避免下行链路网络带宽的抢占,实现网络资源双向的资源保障。性能测试表明,相比于数据中心默认的网络带宽分配方式,面向多租户的云计算数据中心网络保障系统能够在租户之间提供更加公平的网络资源分配。

【Abstract】 In cloud computing environment, resources are shared by tenants. When they deploytheir application or task in a shared datacenter infrastructure, cloud computingenvironment have to provide performance isolation. But in current datacenter, networkbandwidth is shared in a best-effort way. Traffics generated between a set of virtualmachines affect the other virtual machines sharing the same physical link.Network guarantee system in cloud computing datacenter for multi-tenants presents aservice model which can be used by tenants to describe server resources and networkresources for their virtual datacenter. And it would be allocated by strategy which is basedon the network requirement to reduce the possibility of the network congestion in corelink. The system monitors network resources in datacenter by sampling on the virtualswitch in each server. It analyzes the sampled network flow by filter, classification andcollection to predict the traffic rate of the virtual machine. Finally, the scheduler managesegress and ingress bandwidth based on the predicted result. It can provide networkbandwidth guarantee among tenants and utilize the idle network bandwidth to improve theusage of network resources.Functional tests show that the network guarantee system in cloud computingdatacenter for multi-tenant can not only provide bandwidth guarantee in transmitteddirection, but also void the race for bandwidth in receiving direction. Performance testsshow that compared with the default mechanism the system can provide fairer networkresource allocation among tenants.
