【摘要】 教材插图是教学资料的一部分,它是可以作为教学工具使用的。图片不能等同于语言文字表达,但有时图片所表达的效果又是语言文字所不能代替的。英语教材插图在初中英语教材中所占的比例是比较大的,它对初中学生的学习作用是很突出的。但由于边疆地区的英语基础薄弱,翻译教学法占主导地位,教材插图在教学中的运用并不广泛,即便部分教师试图运用插图教学提高学生的学习兴趣,运用方式依然存在一些问题。而对于英语基础薄弱的地区,插图在教学中的运用研究还很缺乏,还没有指导性的插图辅助教学方法。英语新课标从语言技能、语言知识、情感态度、学习策略和文化意识对学习目标进行阐述,教材插图作为直观的信息载体有利于学生对知识的接收,对语言技能的运用,对学习兴趣的激发,对学习方法的内化及对英语文化的认识和理解。因此,从基础理论到教学实践对教材插图在教学中的运用研究具有现实意义。本文通过对2014年云南省开始使用的Project仁爱版初中英语教材中插图的特点和教学运用现状进行分析,根据插图在词汇,句型,篇章的运用,对学生进行插图关注度和使用情况的调查研究,在对比实验中,分析插图辅助教学的有效性,探索插图的课堂教学使用方法。本研究表明,初中学生有自觉阅读插图的习惯,插图能刺激学生动脑思考,有助于学生理解和记忆英文单词,有助于操练英文句型,有助于预测文章内容,有助于开口说英语,有助于当堂内化所学知识。更多还原

【Abstract】 As an important part of teaching materials, illustrations in the English textbook Project English can be a teaching tool in class. They are dispensable in junior high school English teaching. Language is always implicated but explicitly involved as an educational partner. But sometimes pictures express meanings clearer, more vivid and more intuitive that language cannot replace them. Illustrations in this textbook cover a large amount of space. However, using illustrations in class plays little part in teaching in the poor English area where Grammar-Translation teaching method still dominates the class. While some teachers try to use the picture to improve the students’ interests, there are some appropriate uses in approach. At the same time the studies on illustration using in class in poor English area still remain insufficient and there is no instructional suggestions on illustrations assisting teaching. The new curriculum for junior high schools requires five aspects, language skills, language knowledge, emotional attitude, learning strategies and cultural awareness, to achieve the leaning goal. Illustrations, as a direct information carrier, make it better for junior high students to receive the language knowledge, master the language skills, stimulate the study interest, know the leaning strategies and employ the cultural awareness. Therefore there is practical significance in a study on illustrations assisting teaching in class both in theory and in teaching practice.This dissertation has made a brief analysis on the characteristics of illustrations on the junior high school textbook Book 1 of Grade Seven in Project English used in Yunnan in 2014 and the uses in class at present. Investigation among Grade Seven students focuses on how much attention the students give to the illustrations and how they use them by questionnaire on English words, sentences and articles. Also an experiment has carried to see whether using illustrations can assist teaching in class and explore how to put illustrations in use when teaching in class.Conclusions can be made according to the investigation and the experiment in teaching practice that the junior high school students has the habit of reading illustrations and the illustrations can be helpful to activate the students to think, memorize the English words, practice the sentence forms, predict the contents of an article, speak English and internalize the language knowledge in class.更多还原
