【摘要】 本篇翻译实践报告是针对《中国文化学》(覃德清著,待出版)第二编第五章及第八章的英译而写。该书共二十章,系统详尽地阐述了中国文化的演进历程及其特征。该书的英译是团队合作完成,笔者所翻译的部分主要叙述中国文化衍生的自然生态环境以及中国文化的成熟、衰微与重构历程,约2.4万汉字。本篇翻译实践报告共包括六个部分。第一部分是引言,包括翻译文本简介和该翻译报告的研究目的和意义；第二部分是翻译文本分析,主要从文体特点,语言特点和翻译难点三大方面对翻译文本进行分析；第三部分是奈达“功能对等”理论,首先对奈达的功能对等理论作了简要介绍,然后分析该理论对翻译的指导意义；第四部分是译前准备,阐述了对古汉语以及文化负载词的理解,并介绍了相关平行文本的查找及使用。第五部分是功能对等理论下的翻译策略研究和案例分析,该部分是本翻译实践报告的重心所在,笔者结合翻译项目中具体的翻译案例,从三个方面进行分析,分别为古汉语英译翻译策略,文化负载词英译翻译策略以及长难句翻译策略；第六部分是翻译实践总结,总结此次翻译实践的经验以及不足之处。笔者在翻译实践过程中以奈达的“功能对等”理论为指导,首先对翻译文本进行语内翻译,再进行语际翻译。鉴于文本中包含大量古汉语、文化负载词和长难句,笔者在翻译过程中灵活采用多种翻译策略,从而达到既保留中国历史文化元素,又能向外国读者忠实传递文本信息的目的。其中在进行文化负载词英译过程中,笔者采用音译加注释、直译加注释、直译加类别词、直译、意译等多种翻译策略；在进行古汉语英译过程中,笔者采用措词、增译、省译、直译、意译、转换等多种翻译策略；在进行长难句英译过程中,笔者对句意进行整合,并根据英语的句法特征对无主语句采取恰当的翻译策略。更多还原

【Abstract】 This practice report of translation is written according to the English translation of the fifth and eighth chapters of Chinese Culturology (Qin Deqing,2015). Divided into twenty chapters, the book elaborates the evolution process of Chinese culture systematically in detail. The translation of this book is done by teamwork and what I am responsible for mainly describes natural ecological environment from which Chinese culture derives as well as its maturity, decline and reconstruction process, with about 24,000 Chinese characters.This report consists of six parts. The first part is introduction which includes a brief introduction of the translated text and the research purpose and meaning; the second part is the analysis of translated text from three aspects, that is stylistic features, language feature and translation difficulties; the third part is to introduce functional equivalence theory put forward by Nida. In this part, brief introduction of the theory is done and its guiding significance on translation is analyzed; the fourth part is preparation before translation which describes how to understand ancient Chinese and culture-loaded Chinese words and introduces the method of searching for and using parallel texts. The fifth part is translation strategy research and case analysis under the guide of functional equivalence theory. This part is the core of the report, in which, with specific translation cases in translation project, analysis is made from three aspects, translation strategy on ancient Chinese, translation strategy on culture-loaded Chinese words and translation strategy on long or difficult sentences. The last part concludes the experience gained from the practice and shortcomings.With functional equivalence theory put forward by Nida as the guidance, the author firstly translates the ancient Chinese into English, and then makes an interlingual translation from modern Chinese to English. During the translation process, the author adopts various translation strategies flexibly, so as to convey Chinese culture to foreign readers faithfully and at the same time reserve cultural elements of ancient China.更多还原
