基于EDEM对炭黑在密炼机中分散情况的仿真模拟及其实验研究

【摘要】 随着当今橡胶工业和高分子材料行业的快速发展,密闭式炼胶机(简称密炼机)作为混合机械中性能优异并且具有标志性作用的突出代表,其用途越来越广泛。转子是密炼机的关键部分,它的几何形状严重影响着密炼机的性能,从而能够对密炼机混炼胶的质量产生重要的影响。由于炭黑对橡胶能够产生补强和填充作用,使得炭黑在橡胶中的应用更加广泛。橡胶中炭黑的分散度能够揭示混炼胶质量以及其他成品性能。随着混炼技术的提高以及对混炼理论的深入研究,炭黑在橡胶中的分散情况正日益受到重视。本论文首先以离散元为基础,运用颗粒仿真软件EDEM,建立了橡胶和炭黑的混合模型,在不同的密炼机转子转速、不同转子间隙以及不同的转子构型的条件下,对于炭黑在橡胶中的分散情况进行了模拟。为了验证模拟结果的可行性,本论文以丁腈橡胶为例进行了相应的实验研究,包括不同实验条件下橡胶的混炼和硫化实验以及对炭黑的分散度、胶料的门尼粘度及其他物理机械性能的检测。通过本文的研究工作,初步形成了利用离散元和粘弹性理论来分析密炼机混炼前期炭黑的分散情况的研究方法,为以后密炼机转子的研发设计提供一定的参考。

【Abstract】 With the rapid development of rubber industry and polymer material industry, as a mixing machine with excellent performance and iconic role, the use of the mixer has become more and more widely. The rotor is the key part of the mixer. Its configuration seriously affects the performance of mixer and has an important impact on the quality of mixer to mix. Thanks to carbon black can provide rubber with reinforcement and filling effect, carbon black has more extensive application in rubber. The dispersion of carbon black in rubber can reveal the quality of mixing rubber and the performance of other product. With the mixing technology improved and in-depth study of the mixing theory, dispersion of carbon black in the rubber is attracting more and more attention.Based on the discrete element, by using the particle simulation software EDEM, the paper builds the mixed model of rubber and carbon black. It simulates the dispersion of carbon black under different condition. The different condition consists of different mixer rotor speed, the clearance between two rotors and rotor configuration. In order to verify the feasibility of the simulation results, this paper using NBR as an example has been investigated under different experimental conditions. The experiments consist of the diction of the mixing and vulcanization of rubber Mooney viscosity experiments and dispersion of carbon black, rubber and other physical and mechanical properties. Through this research, research methods of dispersion of the initial formation of the use of discrete element method and visco elastic theory to the analysis of mixer-carbon black, provides reference to the further research and design of mixer rotor.
