【摘要】 傅高义（Ezra F. Vogel）作为当代美国著名的亚洲问题研究专家，因其学术社会影响，他的认识判断也在中美关系实际处理中产生着一定的影响。探讨傅高义的相关研究，既可加深了解美国学术界中国研究的现状，也有助于增进对中美关系的认识，他的研究方法可供研究者学习借鉴，他对于中国当代制度特点和发展模式的判断评价也具有启发意义。傅高义的中美关系研究与他早年经受过系统的社会学研究训练、多年的中国社会研究经历密切相关。本文采用文献实证法及对比研究法，以解读傅高义有关中国社会研究、东亚问题研究、国际关系研究等方面的著述成果、受访资料为基础，分析傅高义中美关系研究的渊源基础、基本认识、实际影响，进而总结其中美关系研究的主要特点。傅高义曾任教于哈佛大学，在中美关系研究、中国问题研究方面积累了丰厚的学术成果，并以学者身份活跃于中美学术交流领域；他曾任职于克林顿政府担任东亚事务国家情报员，参阅涉及中美关系的机密文件资料，并对美国对华外交事务献计献策。相关学术经历和实务经验为傅高义展开中美关系研究奠定了较好基础。傅高义研究中美关系迄今已超过半个多世纪，虽然他在不同历史时期所关注的问题有所不同，总体而论，他一直强调维护改善中美关系应坚持：客观判断中国实力，确保美国国家利益；尊重各自历史文化特点处理两方分歧差异；谨慎乐观看待未来两国关系。在中美关系研究中，傅高义采取了社会学观察视角、兼及中美双方利益的分析立场以及注重交叉对比的研究特色。在傅高义就中美关系的基本认识和研究方法中，都可以看出他的研究十分强调中国的特殊性，由此他在一定程度上肯定了近现代中国革命与社会历史发展的必然性、社会制度与发展道路选择的合理性。更多还原

【Abstract】 Ezra F. Vogel is one of the most distinguished experts in the field of Asian research incontemporary America. His study on Sino-U.S. relationships, to some extent, reflects theattitude of Sino-U.S. relationships in American academics. According to research hisrelative studies, we could realize the status quo of Chinese Studies in American academics,but also enhance the understanding of Sino-U.S. relations. In addition, his research methodsare worth appreciating. His judgments on China’s contemporary system and thedevelopment mode are instructive.Vogel’s study on Sino-U.S. relations is closely related to his early systematicsociological research training and Chinese experience. The paper will adopt the method ofliterature review and comparative study, based on literature interpretation of Ezra F. Vogel’sstudies on Chinese society, East Asian issues, international relations and interviews; thenanalysis Vogel’s original thinking, basic acquaintance and real effects on Sino-U.S.relationships. Based on the analysis, the paper will make will-organized notes on Ezra F.Vogel’s study.Vogel has taught in Harvard, accumulating a lot of fruits on Sino-U.S. relationshipsand Chinese research; meanwhile, he still takes active in the field of Sino-U.S. relationshipsas an expert. He served in the Clinton administration as an East Asian intelligence officer,consulting many confidential papers about Sino-U.S. relationships and offering advices toAmerican diplomacy. Such kind of academic research and practical experience settle a goodfoundation for his study of Sino-U.S. relationships. Vogel researches Sino-U.S.relationships over half centuries; although he focus different issues in different period, all inall, Vogel considers that Sino-U.S. relationships should insist the following perspectives:first, objectively assessing Chin’s power to insure American’s interests. Second, solving thedisagreements based on respecting both history and culture. Third, treating Sino-U.S.relationships should be cautiously optimistic. In the process of his research, Ezra F. Vogelachieved a study with sociological methods. In addition, Ezra F. Vogel pays a more rationalview on the bilateral relationship. Another feature is intersection research. When Ezra F.Vogel explores Sino-U.S relationships, he gets involved in the elements of Japan withintersection way. His basic understanding and research method reveal that his researchemphasizes China’s specialization. To some extent, he affirms the inevitability of modernChinese revolution and history development, and the rationality that China chooses the social system and development mode.更多还原
