【摘要】 本论文是针对诺贝尔奖获得者美籍华人杨振宁访谈录的文稿所做的汉英视译的项目报告。文章系统介绍了项目主要内容、过程描述、典型案例分析以及由该任务所得的结论。通过对本次翻译实践的反思及总结，笔者针对视译过程中遇到的翻译难题以及所运用的视译技巧进行了分析。本文认为，提高视译技巧的关键，在于形成正确的思维方式，思维方式可以体现为不同的视译技巧。视译技巧可以体现在词汇、句子和篇章三个层次上。词汇层次，主要是言简义丰、不易快速提取意义的疑难词汇的处理，译员应该结合上下文，在发言人交际意图的指导下，选择合适的对应语来解释原意，而不是机械进行符号转换。句子层次的技巧是重中之重，译员要熟练划分意群，顺句翻译，并通过大量练习方能做出快速反应。在篇章层次，译员要重视话论之间逻辑环节的缺省，也就是发言人内在言语和外在言语的不一致现象，如果信息缺省引起听者理解困难，译员应当根据语境进行补充；如果缺省的信息听者可以从交际场景中轻而易举地获取，则不需补充；是否需要补充，如何补充，需要译员多做训练。本次视译实践旨在更深刻地认识视译时所需要具备的各种技能，发现目前的能力或技能缺失问题，为以后从事真正的视译或者其他形式的口译工作打下基础。更多还原

【Abstract】 This thesis is a report on the sight translation of the interview of Yang Zhenning. The paper systematically introduces the main content of the project, the project description, the typical case analysis and the conclusion of the task. Based on the reflection on the practice of this translation, some problems encountered during the process as well as the sight translation skills adopted are analyzed, including the source language input; the understanding of the source language and the output of the target language.The writer holds that the key to the attainment of sight interpretation skills lies in the forming of correct modes of thinking. Modes of thinking find expression in various interpreting skills in dealing with lexical, syntactic and discourse level of speech. At the lexical level, the focus is on hard words which are so succinct in form yet rich in content that it is not possible to have an instant extracting of meaning from. The interpreter is suggested to resort to the context and the communicating intent of the speaker for an appropriate interpretation of the meaning, and not to have a mechanical code switch. Skills involved in the construction of sentence structure cannot be overemphasized. The interpreter must learn to chop the original sentence into proper sense groups and translate following the original sense group order before he is able to have instant response in interpreting. The focus of the discourse level is upon the default of information between conversation turns, which may suggest the unparalleled development between the inner speech and outside speech of the speaker. In case the missing information leads to understanding difficulty on the part of listeners, the interpreter needs to make it up. Where the information is attainable from the communicating context, it is not necessary to present it in words. The interpreter is suggested to do sufficient practice before he gets really skillful.The sight translation project aims at a deeper understanding of the necessary skills in the future professional sight translation or other interpreting forms and finding the current lack of skills or abilities of interpreting.
