多模终端自动化测试平台的研究与实现

【摘要】 终端是无线通信系统的重要组成部分。随着无线通信技术不断演进,终端的功能和形态也在不断变化。考虑到运营商的利益以及通信技术发展所固有的局限性,2G、3G和LTE多种网络模式必将在一段时间内共存,并且在全球化的背景下,不同的国家或地区所支持的网络模式也有所差异,因此,为了适应运营商网络部署的多样化,能够同时支持多种网络模式的终端已经成为通信行业的发展趋势。在终端开发过程中,软件版本更新周期短,为了保证软件版本质量,需要对每个软件版本进行回归测试,而模式的增加为回归测试过程带来了新的挑战。设计和执行多模终端的回归测试用例时,不仅需要考虑验证各个模式独立工作时的特性,还需要考虑模式间的互操作特性。因此,多模终端的引入,不仅增加了回归测试极端的测试强度,还增加了测试的复杂性。本课题就3GPP体系内支持TDD技术的多模终端的自动化测试平台和自动化测试软件进行了研究和实现。研究工作包括测试用例的设计,自动化测试平台的搭建及自动化测试软件的开发。论文的主要内容概括如下:论文首先回顾了移动通信网络的演进,当前测试平台的发展现状及其局限性,并说明本课题的研究背景及意义.第二章总结了3GPP规范中定义的多模终端的类型及架构,并针对多模终端测试用例,硬件平台及自动化测试软件需求进行了分析。第三章根据TD-LTE,TD-SCDMA和GSM三种无线通信制式的特点进行了测试用例的选择和设计,包括射频测试用例和多模互操作下重选功能测试用例两大部分。第四章介绍了测试平台的组成及自动化测试软件的具体实现。本论文选用CMW500作为TD-LTE/GSM网络模拟器,SP6010作为TD-SCDMA网络模拟器。主控机通过GPIB总线同CMW500和SP60100进行连接搭建自动化测试平台,使用图形化编程语言VisualBasic6.0编写自动化测试软件,并通过调用VISA库函数对仪器进行控制,最终实现自动化测试。最后对本论文进行了总结。
【Abstract】 As wireless communication technology continues to evolve, the terminal as animportant part of the industry chains attracts more and more industry attentions. Since2G,3G and LTE multi-mode networks will be coexisted for a period,the multi-modeterminal has become the development trend of the industry.Since the software (SW) update cycle is short and regression test workload is highduring development phase, multi-mode terminal brings regression test process newchallenges, not only increases the intensity of the test, but also increases the complexityof the testIn this thesis, the automation test platform for the multi-mode terminal, whichsupports TDD technology described in3GPP system, are studied and developed. Thisthesis focuses on designing test cases, setting up test platform and developingautomation test tool. This thesis is organized as following:At beginning, the evolution of wireless communication technology, TDD and FDDmethods are briefly introduced. Then the current test platform status and its limitation,the background and the meanings of this thesis are discussed.In Chapter two, the multi-mode terminal categories defined in3GPP specificationsand their architectures are discussed. Then according to regression test characteristics,the test cases, test platform and software requirements are analyzed.In Chapter three, test parameters and test methods are designed for RF test casesand iRAT cell re-selection test cases.In Chapter four, the test platform setup and the development of the automationtools are introduced. GPIB bus is used to connect host PC and test instruments. Thegraphical programming language VB6.0is used to develop the automation test tool,calling VISA library functions to control the test instruments and achieve testautomation.In the end, the whole thesis is concluded.
