【摘要】 在2012年5月出版的最新小说《家园》中，托尼·莫里森又一次将目光聚焦到主人公的身份追寻上。此篇文章主要运用杜波伊斯的双重意识来探索《家园》中的身份追寻。论文分为五章：第一章简要介绍了小说作者托尼·莫里森和《家园》；第二章呈现了文献综述；第三章扼要介绍了杜波伊斯并阐释了双重意识和自我身份理论；第四章从三个方面详尽分析了《家园》中的身份追寻：逃离：自我身份缺失；挣扎：自我身份困境；回归：自我身份重构；第五章得出结论。文章试图探讨双重意识影响下弗兰克、茜和莉莉的身份追寻及其不同的自我身份构建，进而得出结论：通过清楚地认识和接纳在双重意识下的身份困境，弗兰克最终找寻到了真实的自我；茜通过接受双重意识下的身份困境并且在没有弗兰克帮助下的自我成长，完成了自我身份构建；莉莉自我身份寻求之旅以失败告终。更多还原

【Abstract】 In her latest novel Home, published in May,2012, Toni Morrison locates herfocus on main characters’ identity pursuit.This paper employs the double consciousness by W. E. B. Du Bois to exploreidentity pursuit in Home. It is divided into five chapters：Chapter One gives a briefintroduction to the author Toni Morrison and Home; Chapter Two presents literaturereview and the significance of the study; Chapter Three gives an introduction to W. E.B. Du Bois and explains double consciousness and self-identity; Chapter Four gives adetailed analysis of identity pursuit in Home from three perspectives: escaping: loss ofself-identity, struggling: dilemma of self-identity, and returning: reconstruction ofself-identity; Chapter Five draws a conclusion.This paper tries to explore the influence of double consciousness on Frank, Cee,and Lily’s pursuit of self-identity and the differences of their self-identityconstructions, and draws a conclusion that Frank finally finds his true self by clearlynoticing and accepting his identity dilemma under double consciousness, Ceeaccomplishes self-identity construction in the end by accepting her identity dilemmaunder double consciousness and growing on her own without Frank’s help, and Lily’sjourney of self-identity pursuit ends in failure.更多还原
