【摘要】 近代教会大学在中国虽存在的时间较短,但作为西方文化的载体,扮演了西学东渐的重要角色。作为教会大学西方文化传播的核心部分,教会大学图书馆显得尤为重要。这些新式图书馆改变了中国传统图书馆仅供私人使用的状况,逐渐将图书馆演变为启迪民智、服务学术、面向民众的社会文化机构。与此同时,教会大学图书馆以西方图书馆模式为蓝本,转变了中国传统图书馆管理与服务的理念,推动了中国图书馆事业的进步。本文在汲取前人研究成果的基础上,探究与分析教会大学图书馆功能之演变,客观历史地了解与认识近代教会大学图书馆事业的发展,以期更全面地把握教会大学及其在中西文化交流中的作用。论文第一部分论述了教会大学图书馆创生之缘由。教会大学自身的发展需要,西方图书馆理念的传入,基督教教育势力的发展不同程度的促进了教会大学图书馆的萌生。除此之外,在特殊的时代环境下,教会大学图书馆必然与当时中国本土环境产生摩擦与撞击,中国新教育体制的创建亦构成了教会大学图书馆诞生的缘由。论文第二部分阐述了初创时期教会大学图书馆的功能。初创时期的教会大学图书馆功能主要表现为基督教服务。具体而言,分别从西文书籍的“藏书楼”、服务对象的专一、管理人员的西化三个方面论证其为基督教而服务的功能。论文第三部分阐释了成长时期教会大学图书馆的功能。这一时期,教会大学在华的传教事业面临着中国化的问题,如何解决这一问题,是教会大学能否继续在华的关键。就教会大学图书馆而言,为学术而服务使图书馆功能的发展更趋向于中国化、本土化。无论是图书馆的管理技术、管理人员,或是馆藏数量、馆藏种类、出版刊物都达到了高峰。除此之外,图书馆的组织机构、管理体制、服务方式等渐趋专业化的发展保障了图书馆学术功能的体现。论文第四部分探究了战时教会大学图书馆的功能。这一时期的教会大学图书馆主要功能表现为社会而服务,不仅体现在教会大学为顺应战争与实际工作的需要而调整图书馆服务方式,并适度购置了关于农学、医学、工程学等实用性书籍,而且还体现在教会大学充分发扬基督教服务精神,大力开展有关图书馆的社会工作,如建立流动图书馆,这些活动无不体现出教会大学图书馆为服务社会而付出的努力。教会大学作为西方文化在华传播的一个阵地,其图书馆功能的演变历程不失为中西文化交流与碰撞的一个缩影。更多还原

【Abstract】 The university of church in China,although there is a short time,as a carrier of western culture plays an important role in western learning.The church university as a core part of western culture,the church university library is particularly important.The new library it is no longer confined to private use, and gradually make the library evolved into enlighten the people,serve the academic and social.At the same time,the church university library is modeled on western libraries,changed the traditional Chinese concept of library management and service,and promote the progress of Chinese librarianship.In this paper,on the basis of absorbing predecessors’research,to explore and analyze the evolution of the church university library functions,and learning the development of the church university objectively.In order to more fully grasp the church university and its role in the communication between Chinese and western culture.The first part discusses the reason for the creation of the church of the university library. The needs of Church University own development,the introduction of western advanced idea of the library, the development of Christian education forces are promote the church’s initiation in different degrees.Apart from this,in the era of special environment,the church university libraries was inevitably friction with the local environment.China’s new education system to be created is also a reason for the birth of the church university library.The second part describes the function of the early church university libraries.The start-up period in the church of the university library function is mainly for christian service.Specifically, the "library"of western language books,loyal clients,executives of the three aspects of westernization.The third part explains the function of the growth of the church university library.During this period,the university of the church in China missionary is facing Chinese problems,how to solve this problem,is the key to the church university can continue to stay in Cbina.In terms of church university libraries,for the academic services enable the development of the library functions tend to be more professional and localization.Whether the management of the library technology,management personnel,or collection quantity,collection types,publications have reached the peak.In addition to these,the library organization,management system,service mode are becoming a service professional development also convey the function of academic library.The fourth part explores the church university library functions in wartime.During this period,the church university library service for society is not only reflected in the church of war and the need to conform to the actual work and adjust the way of library service,and purchase numerous on agriculture,medicine,engineering and other practical books. In the church university fully develop christian service spirit and carry out social work of the library,such as establish the mobile library,these activities all reveal the church university libraries to serve the society.The church university as a position for the spread of western culture in China,the evolution of its library functions could be regarded as a miniature of China and western cultural for exchange and collision.更多还原
