【摘要】 "CCTV杯"全国英语演讲大赛对演说者，特别是大学生的实践运用能力起到一个十分重要的作用。一些经典的演讲成为了大赛的代表作，促进了英语教育以及国际文化交流的发展。因此，对"CCTV杯"全国英语演讲大赛的研究日益流行。"CCTV杯"全国英语演讲大赛是个具有权威性的演讲比赛并且和其他公共演说具有相同的目的—让公众理解，与公众分享观点并以此影响公众。大赛的每一个选手都是为了赢得观众和评委的认可和支持，并且以劝说为最终目的。因此，大赛需要使用一系列的演讲技能。基于奥斯汀和塞尔的言语行为理论，本文旨于从词汇，句法和修辞的角度去分析参赛选手怎样劝说以实现他们的演讲目的，并且分析这些语言技巧具有的言外之力和语用功能。本文通过对23位参赛选手演讲稿的分析，论证出言外之力或者是演讲者的意图可以通过代词“我们”，情态动词，连接词，疑问句，“我认为。。。”句型，祈使句以及比喻，排比和重复修辞得以实现。除此之外，本文也论证出这些言外之力具有引起注意和兴趣，强调主题，体现亲近感，赢取观众信任，呼吁，激发，劝说，承诺和提出义务等语用功能。一方面，本文对言语行为理论的研究有重要贡献。另一方面，不仅有助于教授大学生演说技巧，还有助于帮助观众更好的理解大赛内容。同时也启示公共演讲者和未来大赛的参赛者怎样用言语行为成功地演讲。更多还原

【Abstract】 The "CCTV Cup" English Speaking Contest, as one of public speech contests,plays a great role in perfecting the practical competence of speakers, especiallycollege students. Some of the speeches are known as the representative masterpiecesof English Speaking Contest and they also tend to be the promotion of Englisheducation and the international cultural communication. Therefore, the study of"CCTV Cup" English Speaking Contest is an increasingly heated topic. The "CCTVCup" English Speaking Contest is an authoritative contest with the same purpose asthose of other public speeches, to influence the general public and share some ideawith the public. Through their speeches, the contestants wish to gain the support fromtheir audiences and win the recognition from their judges. The persuasion of thepeople concerned is the final purpose. For these purposes, a range of speech-makingstrategies are put to use.In the light of Austin and Searle’s speech act theory, this paper aims to analyzehow they fulfill the mission of persuasion of the public audience and how theintentions of contestants are achieved through a variety of language devices such aslexical expressions, syntactic devices and rhetorical devices which bear variouspragmatic functions of the illocutionary forces.From the analysis of the speeches by23contestants, this thesis draws aconclusion that the illocutionary forces which carry the intention of the speaker couldbe realized through pronoun "we", modal auxiliary verbs, conjunctions, questions,"Ibelieve/think/know that..." types of sentences, imperative sentences, metaphor,parallelism and repetition. In addition, the pragmatic functions of arousing attentionand interest, highlighting the theme, delivering a sense of intimacy, earning theaudience’s trust, pathetic appealing, motivating and persuading, promise-making and proposal of obligations are all concluded.On the one hand, this thesis makes a great contribution to the study of speech acttheory. On the other hand, it brings forth the speaking skills to college students andhelp the audience understand the contest better. It is also a good way to give publicspeakers and the would-be contestants some enlightenment on how to deliver asuccessful speech by adopting a variety of speech acts.更多还原
