【摘要】 作为诗歌领域的开拓者与探索者,玄学诗歌代表人约翰·邓恩突破了英国文艺复兴时期诗歌固有的一贯形式,摈弃了传统诗歌惯用普通类比的陈词滥调,转而以奇喻这一新颖形式来表达诗歌的比拟,给英国诗坛吹入了一股清新的空气,给后世诗歌以极大影响。然而前人的研究多是从纯文学的角度探讨多恩玄学诗歌中的奇喻,因而这些研究在分析奇喻的艺术效果时,大多属于描述性研究,而非解释性研究。利用认知诗学原理,本文发现,作为隐喻的一种特殊形式,奇喻不仅在结构形式上与传统隐喻有所不同,在认知特性上也存在很大差别。本文旨在从一个创新的角度——运用认知诗学理论来探讨奇喻的艺术手法及其艺术效果,以丰富前人研究。认知诗学是一种跨学科的诗歌分析方法,是沟通文学和语言学之间的桥梁,希望本文的尝试能够为诗歌及其他文学样式的认知分析提供一定的理据和参考。本文共七部分,在简要回顾国内外研究现状的基础上,本文定义了玄学诗歌、奇喻、隐喻映射以及意象图式等基本概念。本研究基于认知诗学理论,主要从三个方面来分析约翰·邓恩玄学诗歌中的奇喻：奇喻对不变原则的偏离、奇喻的跨范畴映射、以及奇喻的语境依赖性。并得出结论,奇喻的特殊艺术效果源于其特殊的认知结构。第一,与传统隐喻不同的是,奇喻违反了不变原则,导致奇喻的始源域和目标域的意域不一致,致使其映射结构不平衡。第二,奇喻映射的跨范畴特性也与传统隐喻存在很大差别。第三,奇喻的理解是一种认知解码过程,存在着高度的语境依赖性。本文通过奇喻的映射图式来分析奇喻的产生机理、认知心理、及其艺术效果,以期在诗歌创作和诗歌欣赏上,为理解、掌握、运用奇喻手法提供一个更新,更深入的思考维度。更多还原

【Abstract】 John Donne, a great literary innovator of his age, deconstructs the set pattern of writing poems of the Renaissance Period in Britain, by abandoning the lousy cliche of metaphors and similes used by his predecessors, and yet turning to use conceit in the comparison. Nevertheless previous studies shed light upon the metaphysical conceit in Donne’s poetic verses from a pure literary perspective, which however, in most cases turns out to be more descriptive than analytical when discussing the effect of conceit. It is found that conceit, as a special form of metaphor, not only differs from conventional metaphor in artistic effect, but also in cognitive mapping structure.This paper aims at bridging the gap left by previous studies through a brand new approach:a combination and blending of poetic techniques and theory of cognitive linguistics. Interdisciplinary theories are adopted to explore how cognitive poetics may serve as a bridge between literary studies and linguistics, which provides a theoretical cognitive basis for literary intuition.After explicating the previous study home and abroad, and illuminating the definition about metaphysical poetry, conceit, metaphorical mapping and image-schema etc, the paper embarks upon the cognitive features of conceits in John Donne’s metaphysical poetry in the following three aspects:deviation of Invariance Principle, cross-categorical mapping of conceit, and context dependency. It is found that the unique artistic effects of conceits are due to their different cognitive features. First, unlike conventional metaphors, conceits violate the Invariance Principle in their mapping scope, which results in the differentiation of semantic domains and the imbalance of mapping. Second, the cross-categorical mapping features of conceits also differ sharply from the conventional metaphors in their cross direction and categorical bounce. Third, the understanding of the conceits is a process of cognitive decoding, which depends highly on the context of the poetry.Through analyzing the cognitive mapping of conceits, and their artistic effects, it is hoped that this paper can make contribution to the defect of the current study, and be conducive to the better understanding and manipulating of conceit in the creation and appreciation of poetry.更多还原
