【摘要】 美国华裔女作家伍慧明的处女作《骨》主要围绕着普通的美国华人利昂家二女儿跳楼自杀,讲述了年轻一代的华裔与老一代华人如何面对东西方文化冲突,如何寻找自己的社会属性,以及如何在美国社会中奋斗与生存的心路历程。故事的叙述者莱拉是一个善于进行跨文化对话,富有同情心和办事能干的正面华裔典型。由于《骨》中充满了大量的中西方文化冲突,触及到了华人和华裔所受到的种族歧视以及保持华人传统和接受主流文化使老一代华人及年轻一代的华裔产生不同形式的矛盾和冲突,所以本论文将通过中西文化的差异和跨文化交际的角度解读这部作品。本文详细解读固守中国传统文化的华人父母在跨文化语境中所经受的贫困、痛苦、种族歧视和压迫,再现家庭中姐妹三人为代表的华裔子女困于两代人和两种文化的夹缝中的迷茫、困惑和冲突,并分析产生这些现象的深层原因即性质各异的东西方文化。叙写第一代华人父母的唐人街生活,指出跨文化交际中保持本民族文化的重要性。通过主人公莱拉的文化选择,得出结论即：经过碰撞和冲突,不同文化的人将趋于和解,达到互相沟通与谅解,中美文化和谐共存。最后总结全文,指出来自不同文化背景的人们应该用宽容和理解的态度对待文化差异,保持自己文化的精髓,又能充分理解对方文化的特点,这是跨文化交际得以成功进行的前提；同时也指出宽容和理解的跨文化观对现实社会的指导意义。更多还原

【Abstract】 Fae Myenne Ng’s first novel Bone is about the middle sister Ona’s suicide, a jump off the thirteenth floor of the Nam, a local housing project named Nam Ping Yuan. The novel tells of how the first and second generations of Chinese-Americans deal with cultural conflicts, how they find their own social attribute, and how they struggle and survive in American society.Bone is full of conflicts and contradictions between two different cultures and two generations of Chinese Americans. Therefore, this thesis is intended to explore the novel from the perspective of intercultural communication and differences between Chinese traditional culture and American mainstream culture.The thesis firstly explains the miserable experience of first-generation immigrants who maintain the traditional Chinese culture.It also explores the different characteristics of Chinese and American culture that make the three daughters struggling between the generational and cultural conflicts. Then, it analyzes the first-generation parents’lifestyle in Chinatown and points out the importance of keeping one’s national culture in intercultural communication. After analyzing a series of clashes and conflicts and Leila’s own choice, the thesis concludes that people from two different cultures inevitably understand and communicate with each other. Chinese traditional culture and American mainstream culture will ultimately coexist harmoniously, accepting differences, appreciating similarities, and developing together in the world.At last, the thesis restates the importance of a tolerant and understanding attitude towards the cultural differences. Maintaining our culture’s merits and understanding American culture’s features are the preconditions of a successful intercultural communication.更多还原
