一种新型电荷泵锁相环研究与设计

【摘要】 随着通信行业的飞速发展,锁相环使用领域越来越广泛,例如无线通信系统,雷达系统,数字电视等产品中,因为它的倍频和分频功能也用于测试方面。本文采用silter0.18u工艺实现的中心频率为650MHz的对称式电荷泵锁相环,它属于导师与天利半导体有限公司合作项目的一个子项目,本文主要工作如下首先介绍锁相环的发展历史以及当前的发展状况,然后再对锁相环系统进行一个线性化的建模来来定量分析锁相环系统的几个重要参数对系统的影响.第三部分是具体的电路设计部分,在该部分中对每个模块的几个不同方案进行具体分析,然后得出最合适的方案应用在本次论文中。本设计的电荷泵采用对称式结构仿真,结果表明这种结构的电荷泵充放电电流失配非常小,同时控制电压输出摆幅也满足要求。压控振荡器去掉尾电流源这样使得波形的输出摆幅进一步加大,同时引入一个起正反馈作用的触发器来加速波形的切换。最后是对各个子模块以及系统整体仿真,锁相环工作在650MHZ的中心频率处,输出波形占空比为49.6%,输出频率范围420MHZ到880MHZ,完全满足项目的要求。
【Abstract】 With the rapid development of communication industries, PLL has been widely used inmany products, such as wireless communication, radar system and digital TV etc. The functionsof frequency multiplication and frequency division of PLL are used in test field as well.The symmetric CPPLL with silter0.18u process and650MHz center frequency is used inthe design of this thesis, which belongs to the cooperative project of my mentor and Teralanesemiconductor inc. In this thesis, the history and current development of PLL are firstlyintroduced. Then a linearized model of CPPLL is proposed to analyze parameters’ effects on thePLL system. The third session is the specific circuit design. In this session different schemes ofeach module are specifically analyzed and the best one is chosen to be used in the design. Asymmetric charge pump is used in this design. The simulation demonstrates that the symmetriccharge pump’s current mismatch of charge and discharge is extremely small and the swing ofcontrol voltage meets the requirement. The VCO without tail current source can increase theoutput signal swing of VCO. A positive feedback flip-flop is designed to accelerate the switchspeed of output signal. The final session is simulation of sub-modules and system. Thesimulation shows that the center frequency of PLL is650MHz, the duty cycle of output signalwaveform is49.6%and the output frequency ranges from420MHz to880MHz. The simulationresult shows that the designed PLL meets the requirement.
