基于ARM9和FPGA的高速便携式数据采集前端的设计

【摘要】 数据采集是获取信息的基本手段,数据采集技术作为信息科学的一个重要分支,是以传感器、信号测量与处理、微型计算机等技术为基础而形成的一门综合应用技术,它研究数据的采集、存储、处理及控制等作业,具有很强的实用性。本文提出了一种便携式的高速数据采集系统设计思想。此高速数据采集系统由数据采集前端和通用计算机构成,文中详细介绍了这个系统中基于ARM9和FPGA的高速的便携式数据采集前端的设计和实现。数据采集前端主要功能包括2路高速高精度模数信号转换(采样频率能多种可调),静止波形显示,以及向计算机提供高速的数据传输接口等。采集前端在硬件设计上采用基于ARM920T处理器核的三星公司的型号为S3C2410的ARM作为整个采集前端的主控制器,同时考虑到高速数据传输的及时性,因此采用Altera公司的型号为EP2C8Q208的FPGA作为数据采集的直接控制器,此外FPGA也提供其他一些器件的互联接口时序。AD转换芯片采Linear公司的有效位数为14位,转换速率为10Msps的高速高精度AD转换芯片LTC2245。采集前端提供1394a总线接口与计算机进行通讯。本文首先对数据采集的历史和现状进行了概述,提出了由ARM9和FPGA两大核心模块做为主架构的采集前端,并且利用高速外部总线连接采集前端至计算机的数据采集系统的设计方案,接着对这个采集前端的整体构架进行介绍,并且给出了详细的硬件设计。在此基础上,完成了基于ARM9裸机的软件系统的构建和所应用到的外设的底层驱动函数和上层应用程序的编写,以及基于FPGA的利用VHDL语言编写的各个外设之间的接口时序和控制逻辑。
【Abstract】 Data Acquisition is the basic measure for accessing information. As an important branch of information sciences, it bases on sensor, signal measuring, processing, and computer technology. It mainly concerns with data collection, data store, data processing and control. As said, it is a practicality technology.In this thesis, a design philosophy of high speed data acquisition system is brought forward. This high speed data acquisition system includes computer and data acquisition front. This thesis introduces the design and implement of the portable high speed front for the data acquisition system based on ARM9 and FPGA. The main functions of this front are converting two channels of analog signal into digital signal (many kinds of frequencies can be selected), displaying static waveform and providing high speed data transporting interface to computer.The hardware of this design uses S3C2410 as the main controller, which is based on ARM920T core and produced by Sumsung. Because translation speed of data is very high, FPGA EP2C8Q208 is used as data collection’s direct controller, which is produced by Altera.A/D conversion chips are LTC2245, which has 14 bits width and 10Msps conversion speed. IEEE1394a bus is used to communicate with computer.Firstly this thesis introduces the history and status quo of the data acquisition, then brings forward a design program of data acquisition system which includes the front based on ARM9 and FPGA and computer. After that it also introduces the overall structure of this design and provides the detailed hardware design. On the base of that the software system based on ARM9’s bare machine is completed, which includes many kinds of peripherals’drivers and application software. The connector time sequence and control logic implemented by FPGA and described by VHDL are also completed.
