Nd:GGG激光晶体与全固态激光元件研究

【摘要】 本论文主要研究了全固态激光器工作物质-掺钕钆镓石榴石(Nd:Gd3Ga5O12简称Nd:GGG)激光晶体及元件。简要地介绍了全固态激光器DPSSL(Diode Pump Solid StateLaser)及其发展趋势。采用固相法和液相法分别制得Nd:GGG的多晶原料。采用提拉法生长出Nd:GGG晶体并初步解决了生长过程中镓挥发问题。同时把生长出的晶体加工成激光器元件,并进行光学性能测试。生长出的Nd:GGG晶体尺寸为Φ28-35×80-100mm。加工成Φ5×50mm棒状和3×3×2mm片状元件。测试结果表明,Nd+3离子的最强吸收峰位于808nm附近,吸收带宽大于10nm。晶体最强荧光发射峰位于1062nm处,是4F3/2-4I11/2能级跃迁导致的荧光发射。受激发射截面积为σ(λ)=21.63×10-20cm2。用脉冲氙灯泵浦,在样品有效长度为35mm,输入能力25.92J的情况下,获得了24.77mJ的静态激光输出。用LD泵浦,在样品通光长度为2mm、泵浦功率为900mW的条件下,得到305mW的1062nm波长附近的激光输出,说明Nd:GGG棒状及片状晶体元件激光性能正常。

【Abstract】 This paper has mainly studied the working material and element for Diode Pump Solid State Laser:Nd:Gd3Ga5O12 (Nd:GGG for short),and also introduce Diode Pump Solid State Laser instrument and its developing tendency briefly.Polycrystalline material was prepared by liquid-sate reaction and solid-state reaction. Nd:GGG crystal was grown by Czochralski method.We solved the volatilization of gallium. The grown crystals were processed into elements, then we took the test of crystal optical-property.The size of Nd:GGG crystal wasΦ28-35×80-100mm,element size wereΦ5×50mm and 3×3×2mm.The result of the crystal testing showed that the absorbing summit of Nd+3 ion was near by 808 nm, absorption bandwidth was more than 10 nm.The fluorescence emission peak was near by 1062 nm,which was caused by 4F3/2-4I11/2 energy level transition .The stimulated emission section of Nd:GGG was 21.63×10-20cm2 at 1062 nm.Under the pulse Xemon lamp pumping power of 25.92 J, 24.77mJ output power was gotten . With LD pumping of 900mW,We get 305mW output by the Nd:GGG at the length of 1062 nm, which indicated the Nd:GGG crystal was in normal laser state.
