感性工学及其在产品设计中的应用研究

【摘要】 随着科技进步,丰富的社会生产已经能够满足人们对批量化和功能化产品的需求,消费者越来越强调产品带来的情感体验和个性差异,其购买决定也更多地受到情感和心理需求的影响。对于企业来说,技术同质化时代的来临,使得技术优势在赢得市场竞争中不再那么有效,企业必须寻找新的方法使自己的产品易于识别。通过各种途径提升产品对消费者的情感和精神关怀逐渐成为各国设计界一致追求的产品设计方向。于20世纪70年代起源于日本广岛大学的感性工学技术正是在这一背景下提出的。感性工学是一种“将消费者的感性转译为产品设计要素的技术”,它旨在探索人们对产品的情感反应,并将这种情感反应转译为产品设计要素,因此,感性工学为设计界提供了一种在产品质量和功能都相当的情况下提升竞争优势的设计方法。30多年来,经过学术界和企业界的共同研究与通力合作,感性工学已经发展成一项完整、系统的设计方法并渗透到日本各产业领域,研发出了一系列非常成功的产品。欧美各国、韩国、以及我国台湾地区的设计界也逐渐展开了该领域的相关研究,感性工学已经从日本走向世界。然而,感性工学对于我国内地的企业和设计师来说还是比较陌生的,关于该技术的中文研究资料也很少。本文的目的就是通过对感性工学进行系统研究,增进国内设计界对该技术的了解,促进其在国内的研究和应用。首先,在参考和研究了大量英语文献资料的基础上,本文从感性工学的起源、含义、常用的感性测量与数据处理方法、各类感性工学的实施程序、以及感性工学史上典型的产品研发案例等方面,对感性工学进行了系统研究,目的是使国内设计界全面了解该技术;其次,针对感性工学的特点及国内设计现状,本文提出中国设计应紧跟国际设计前沿、注重产品质量和原创、关注消费者情感、提倡企业与高校之间的设计合作,并提出了适用于国内设计界的感性工学简化模型;为了使读者更直观地了解感性工学的实施程序,作者在本文最后采用该简化模型进行了“电热水壶形态要素与感性之间的关联性”研究,验证了感性工学的可行性和有效性。
【Abstract】 With the rapid development of science and technologies, people’s needs for functional products have been fully satisfied with abundant social production, thus while purchasing products, their decisions are increasingly independent on psychological and emotional needs, and attach greater importance to emotional experience and manifestation of individuality brought by. the products; on the other hand, serious challenges are facing manufacturers and designers worldwide: technological superiority is no longer as effective as in the past to win market competition due to modern technology convergence, thus new ways to differentiate their products from competitors’ must be explored. Striving to enhance the emotional and psychological satisfaction of products to customers have become the consensus target of designers and manufacturers all over the world.Kansei Engineering, which originates in the 1970s in the Hiroshima University of Japan, just rises against this background. "Kansei Engineering is a technical methodology to translate consumer’s Kansei into product design elements" is the most direct interpretation of the technology. The target of this technology is to provide designers and manufacturers with a technique to master the emotional and spiritual needs of consumers and then manifest them in product design to enhance competitive edge. After more than 30 years’ co-operation and joint research between experts and enterprises, Kansei Engineering has developed into a complete and systematic design methodology and has been introduced into various industries in Japan, as well as in Europe, America, South Korea, Taiwan of China, and many other countries and districts, and a series of very successful products have been developed with this technique. Thus Kansei Engineering is spreading to all over the world.However, Kansei Engineering is relatively new to entrepreneurs and designers in China Mainland, and technical data and thesis about the technology are rare in Chinese. In light of this situation and on the basis of finishing a lot of English literature reading about this technology, the author conducted systematical study about Kansei Engineering in this thesis with the aim to enhance understanding of it for domestic designers and accelerate spread of it. First of all, the origin, implications, commonly used methods, classifications, application procedures and successful cases of Kansei Engineering are explored in detail; secondly, basing on the study about the situations of China’s domestic design industy, the author analyzed several points that China’s design industry should learn from Japan and Kansei Engineering technology, and proposed a simplified Kansei Engineering Model which is easier to execute and suitable for domestic design industry; for readers’ better understanding about the technique, in the end, the author conducted a study on "Linking Kansei with Design Elements of Electric Kettle" using this simplified model and gives detailed description of the procedures.Through thorough research about this technique, this thesis demonstrates that Kansei Engineering is a very useful design method to master consumers’ psychological and emotional needs and translate these needs into product design.
