单级双程双向泵浦C+L波段ASE宽带光源

【摘要】 C+L波段宽带ASE光源在光通讯器件测试,光纤传感,光谱分割光源,光纤陀螺中具有重要的应用。近来,随着光通讯的迅速发展,ASE宽带光源得到广泛的研究和应用,技术上逐渐走向成熟化和产品化。本文主要研究了一种新颖的单级双程双向泵浦结构的ASE宽带光源,对其进行了深入的理论模拟分析,并研制了其半导体泵浦激光器的驱动电源。具体内容包括:(1)介绍了ASE宽带光源的发展历史,国内外的最新科研成果以及其一系列商用产品的性能指标。(2)分析了掺铒光纤在980nm泵浦激光器抽运下产生C+L波段超荧光的机理。给出了单级双程双向泵浦结构ASE宽带光源中,宽带超荧光功率以及双向泵浦功率随着光纤长度的演化方程。为了提高实验成功率及节省光源制作成本,根据此理论模型在仿真环境Matlab中编写了仿真程序,重点介绍了利用插值法估计初始参数的方法。并根据仿真结果分析了C波段向L波段过渡的过程,L波段的形成过程,以及C+L波段的形成过程,仿真结果与实验结果相符合。(3)详细分析了我们研制的半导体激光器驱动电源的各个电路模块:整流滤波,缓启动,激光器供电,制冷电路。介绍了这些模块的功能与实现方法。并在电路设计软件Protel DXP中进行了原理图,电路印刷板的设计,选购合适的元器件,完成了整体驱动电路的安装调试。(4)对单级双程双向泵浦结构的宽带光源进行了实验研究,分析了造成谱形输出不平坦的原因,得到了最佳的输出谱形,得到的谱宽为1525nm-1602nm(77nm) ,平坦度为6dB,输出ASE功率为19.7mW,已经达到了商用ASE宽带光源的技术指标。

【Abstract】 The application of C+L band broad-band ASE light source to laser communication apparatus test, fiber sensor, spectrum division light source, and fiber gyroscope was very important .Recently, with the rapid development of optical communication, ASE broad-band light source had been widely researched and applied. Meanwhile it became more mature in technology , and was commercialized gradually .In this paper, a new light source configuration called Single-stage Double-pass Bidirectional ASE broad-band light source was researched and then subjected to a theoretical simulation analysis thoroughly . Further more a new power supply for the LD was developed.The major content of the paper was as follows:(1) The development of ASE broad-band light source as well as the relative latest researches in and abroad, and the performance index of a series of commercialized products were introduced.(2) Analyzed The mechanism of the process that Er-doped fiber produced C and L band ASE .The evolvement equation of the ASE power and pumping power vs the length of optical fiber in Single-stage Double-pass Bidirectional ASE broad-band light source was presented respectively. In order to raise the experimental success rate and save cost, a simulated programme was compiled by Matlab. Then the transition process from C band to L band, the formation of the L band, C and L band were analyzed based on the simulation result. The simulation result was consistent with the experiment result.(3)The circuit modules of the LD power supply including commutate filter module, slowness circuit, the main power supply circuit for the LD, and cooling circuit were analyzed. The function and operation method of the modules were introduced. The SCH and PCB were designed by Protel DXP. Then the available circuit apparatus were chosen and the whole circuit setting and debugging was accomplished.(4)The Single-stage Double-pass bidirectional pumped broad-band ASE light source was studied by experiment, and the cause of the uneven output spectrum was analyzed. At last, the optimal spectrum was obtained. The spectrum is from 1525nm to 1602nm (77nm) ,the flatness is 6dB and the ASE output power is 19.7mW. The performance index reached the commercial standard .
