GPON系统用户终端的研究与电路设计

【摘要】 无源光网络(PON)打破了传统的点到点解决方法,且不采用有源节点,因而敷设和运行维护成本低,易于升级。与APON和EPON相比,吉比特无源光网络(GPON)作为一项新兴宽带接入网技术,具有高效率、高速率、高带宽利用率等优点,有着广阔的发展前景。光网络单元(ONU)作为GPON系统的重要组成部分,它的实现技术和成本将直接影响到光纤用户的经济承受能力,但目前国内对它的研究只处在起步阶段,技术相对不够成熟,设备成本较高。因此,对GPON用户终端的研究有着重要的现实意义。本文的主要工作和成果如下:1.介绍了无源光接入网的发展、国内外研究现状以及GPON的优势;2.根据G.984协议,阐述了GPON的系统结构、工作原理以及GTC层的一些关键技术;3.针对GPON PMD(物理媒介层)和GPON ONU进行了分析与研究,并结合ARM嵌入式系统技术和FPGA技术,提出了GPON用户终端系统构架;4.详细分析了物理层收发模块、嵌入式管理控制模块和FPGA处理模块的功能,并对其进行了具体的硬件电路设计,包括芯片的选择和外围接口电路的设计;5.在设计的原理图基础上搭建了光收发模块硬件平台和嵌入式硬件平台,并在嵌入式硬件平台上实现了串口的正常通信;本文重点提出了GPON用户终端的系统构架,并进行具体的电路设计。在今后的系统硬件制作和调试工作中,还需进一步验证硬件设计的合理性,并根据测试结果对系统进行优化。本课题的研究对GPON技术的发展普及具有一定的促进作用。

【Abstract】 The passive optical network (PON) breaks traditional point-to-point solution and only uses passive nodes, so it costs lower in operating and is easy to upgrade. Compared with APON and EPON, Gigabit-capable Passive Optical Network (GPON) is an emerging broadband access networking technology, which has advantages of high-efficiency, high-speed, high-bandwidth utilization and suppoits whole service. As a result, GPON has bright prospects .The Optical Network Unit (ONU) is an important part of GPON system, it affects user’s financial capacity directly. While domestic researches on the ONU drop behind: there is no mature technique, and the equipment costs higher. Therefore, the resarch on GPON termination is very urgent.The main content of the paper is as follows:1. This paper introduces the development of passive optical network, present researches, and virtues of GPON;2. On the basis of G.984, this paper illuminates GPON architecture, operation principle and some key techniques of GTC;3. By analyzing GPON PMD (physical medium layer) and GPON ONU, the paper proposes system architecture of GPON user termination, combined with the technology of ARM and FPGA;4. Analyzing physical layer transceiver module, embedded management control module and FPGA processing module functions,then designing the specific hardware circuit, including the chip selection and peripheral interface circuit design;5. Building the optical transceiver hardware platform and the embedded hardware platform on the basis of the design schemes, and realizing a normal serial communication on embedded hardware platform; This paper highlights the system architecture of GPON user termination and the specific circuit design. In order to achieve better performance, at the stage of debugging, it is necessary to verify the rationality of hardware design, and optimize the system according to the testing results. This research plays a positive role in popularizing GPON in China.
