一位阿拉伯数字的空间表征及SNARC效应的研究

【摘要】 数字的加工机制及其空间表征方式一直是认知心理学和认知神经科学研究的热点问题。关于数字水平方向空间表征研究已取得很大进展,但对于数字垂直方向空间表征研究缺乏充分的实验证据,已有实验范式均没有排除反应键及左右手对SNARC效应的影响。针对上述问题,本研究采用快速数字大小判断单键反应范式,分别探讨水平方向及垂直方向的SNARC效应及数字的距离效应,以进一步加深对数字空间表征问题的理解。本研究包括两个实验。实验一分为两组实验,第一组的任务是判断比5大的数字并作出反应,第二组的任务是判断比5小的数字并作出反应。数字随机出现在左右的方框中。每位被试需参加两组实验。实验二与实验一任务相同,数字随机出现在上下的方框中。本研究得到的主要结论:1.在水平方向存在着SNARC效应,小数字表征在心理数字线的左侧,大数字表征在心理数字线的右侧。2.在垂直方向存在着SNARC效应,小数字表征在心理数字线的下方,大数字表征在心理数字线的上方。3.用快速大小判断单键反应的实验范式研究SNARC效应是有效的
【Abstract】 The spatial representation of numbers has been the most important area of the investigation on the mechanism of number processing, which is one of the hot research topics. Although lots of studies had investigated the spatial representation of numbers in horizontal orientation, studies which focused on the spatial representation of numbers in vertical orientation were surprisingly rare. Moreover, there were problems, such as the negative effects of left and right hands, and the improper way of response. Addressing itself to these problems, this study was conducted using the speeded magnitude judgment and one single response paradigm to further investigate the spatial representation.The study included two experiments. The first experiment was separated into two parts. Assignment of the first part was to judge the numbers which were greater than five. The other part was to judge which were smaller than five. Numbers appeared in the left and right blocks at random. Every participates were forced to attend the two parts of the experiment. Assignment of the second experiment was the same as the first one; the only difference was that the numbers appeared in the above and below blocks at random.The main findings of this study as follows:1. The SNARC effect on the horizontal orientation appeared and that small and large numbers were respectively represented to the left and right sides of the mental number line.2. The SNARC effect on the vertical orientation appeared and that small and large numbers were respectively represented to the below and above sides of the mental number line.3. It is effective to study the SNARC effect using the speeded magnitude judgment and one single response paradigm.
