【摘要】 “五四”运动以后，随着民主思想在中国大地上的传播，中国兴起了多种教育思潮，而平民教育思潮是其中影响很大的一种，中国平民教育首先发轫于北京等大城市，然后逐步向全国推广。湖南平民教育早在辛亥革命以前就已发端。杨昌济、何炳麟、徐特立等一大批湖南教育界、知识界名流都是教育救国论的忠实拥护者；他们视教育为改造社会、变换民质的首要工作，极力主张实行平民教育。但是一直到“五四”运动，湖南的平民教育仅仅是少数教育界人士和高、中等学校学生以及其他少数热情人士推行的成人扫盲教育，还没有形成广泛的社会运动，所以只能称此期的平民教育为活动。在全国平民教育运动兴起的背景下，晏阳初、周方、罗教铎、曹典琦、毛泽东、李立三等人纷纷致力于湖南平民教育，从而在湖南掀起了一场轰轰烈烈的平民教育运动。湖南平民教育运动在全国平民教育运动中占有重要地位，因为湖南不仅获得了“全国平民教育策源地”的称号，而且湖南平民教育还有许多特点，比如在湖南平民教育运动兴起之后，湖南社会各界、包括教会、教育界、共产党人等都参与到这场运动只来。虽然最后这场运动由于大革命的失败而停止，但它对于促进湖南教育的普及、促进湖南工农教育的兴起以及推动民主革命的进程都有十分重要的意义。更多还原

【Abstract】 After May fourth movement, along with the-democratic thought on China dissemination, China. has started the many kinds of educations ideological trend, but the Mass education the ideological trend are influence very big one kind, the Chinese Mass education first commence a venture to Beijing and so on the big city, then gradually to national promotion.The Hunan Mass education as early as in 1911 Revolution before has started. Yang Changji, He Binglin, Xu Teli especially large quantities of Hunan educational circles, the intellectual circle celebrities all are the faithful supporter which the education saves the nation discusses; They regard the education for the transformation society, transform the people archery target most important work, the urge implements the common people to educate. But always May fourth movement, Hunan’s Mass education merely are the minority educational circles public figures and are high the adult which, the middle school student and all that minority warm public figures carries out to eliminate illiteracy to educate, but also has not formed the widespread social movement, therefore only can call thistime the Mass education is the activity. Education under the background in the national Mass which the movement emerges,Yan Yangchu, Zhou Fang, Luo Jiaoduo, person and so on Cao Dianqi, MaoZedong, Li Lisan devotes in abundance to the Hunan Mass education, thus raised gigantic Mass in Hunan to educate the movement.The Hunan Mass education the movement to educate in the movement in the national Mass to hold the important status,because Hunan not only has obtained "the national Mass education whips the source area" the title, moreover the Hunan Mass education also have many characteristics, for instance education after the Hunan Mass education the movement emerges, the Hunan society from all walks of life, including the church, the educational circles,the communist and so on all participates in this movement only.Although finally this movement stops as a result of Great Revolution’s defeat, but it regarding promotes the popularization which Hunan education to promote the Hunan worker and peasant education to start as well as the impetus democratic revolution advancement all has the extremely vital significance.更多还原
