【Abstract】 The purpose of this thesis was to investigate the effects of non-starch polysaccharidesenzyme inclusion on nutrient digestibilities of growing layers in both single and combinednon-conventional diets. In the first experiment, three types of enzyme preparation, i.e., P8306 specialdesigned for un-traditional oil cake/meals, P8302 for paddy by-products, and P8301 forwheat, were used. The digestibilities of gross nutrients and non-starch polysaccharidecomponents after P8306 was added to corn-soybean meal diet, corn-soybeanmeal-cottonseed meal diet, corn-soybean meal-rapeseed meal diet and corn-soybeanmeal-sunflower meal diet, and P8302 to corn-soybean meal-rice bran diet, and P8301 tocorn-soybean meal-wheat bran diet were compared with that of no enzyme contrasts. Twohundred and eighty eight 11-week-age growing layers were randomly divided into 48groupes with 6 layers in each group. Each diet was fed to 4 groups of animals. The resultsshowed that the apparent energy and ether extract (EE) digestibility of corn-soybean mealdiet decreased by 1.50 and 2.02 percentage (P<0.05), digestibilities of dry matter, crudeprotein and ash also decreased but not significantly, that of SARA increased significantly(P<0.01) when P8306 was added to the corn-soybean meal diet. The apparent digestibilitiesof energy, crude fibre, IXYL and IGAL increased by 0.95, 9.57, 4.03 and 2.13 percentage(P<0.05), respectively, that of EE, DM, CP and ash also were improved but without statisticsignificance when P8306 was supplied to the corn-soybean meal-cotton meal diet. TheINSP digestibility was improved by 2.87 percentage (P<0.05) when P8306 was added to thecorn-soybean meal-rapeseed meal diet. The digestibilities of crude fibre, CP, EE, TARA andTGLU were increased by 5.56, 8.28 and 3.90 percentage (P<0.05), respectively, whenP8306 was added to the corn-soybean meal-sunflower meal diet. When the corn-soybeanmeal-rice bran diet was supplemented with P8302, the digestibilities of energy, CP, EE andcrude fibre were increased, but that of DM and ash were decreased, although that of INSPincreased by 5.86 percentage (P<0.05). Both of the CP and NSP digestibility of were notaffected by the inclusion of P8301 into the corn-soybean meal-wheat bran diet.In the second trial, One hundred and ninty two 14-week-age growing layers were randomly divided into 16 groups with 6 layers in each group. The digestibilities of grossnutrients and non-starch polysaccharide components of 4 types of combinedun-conventional diets, i.e., corn-soybean meal diet, wheat bran-cottonseed meal diet, ricebran-rapeseed meal diet and cottonseed meal-rapeseed meal-sunflower meal diet, werecompared with that of P8306 supplemented contrasts. Each diet was fed to 4 groups ofanimals. The results indicated that, after enzyme supplementation, the digestibilities ofenergy, ash, SARA, SGAL and IGAL of corn-soybean meal diet increased by 1.38 (P<0.05),3.83 (P<0.05), 6.38 (P<0.05), 4.40 (P<0.05), and 6.94 percentage (P<0.05), respectively. The additive effects of enzyme addition were observed on the improvement of nutrientdigestibility except for DM and ash. The improvement of crude fibre and TMF digestibilityalso was observed in cottonseed meal-wheat bran diet by 8.50 (P<0.01), and 3.65percentage (P<0.01). There were additive effects of enzyme addition on the improvement ofnutrient digestibilities except for DM. Enzyme supplementation to corn-soybeanmeal-capseed meal-rice bran diet markedly increased IARA, IXYL, IGAL and IMF by 10.36(P<0.01), 3.64 (P<0.01) and 3.78 percentage (P<0.05). Enzyme supplementation tocorn-soybean meal-cottonseed meal-rapeseed meal-sunflower meal diet increased IARAand IXYL by 12.70 (P<0.01) and 4.93 percentage (P<0.05). Some additive effects wereobserved for the improvement of nutrient digestibility with enzymes supplementatiton.
