【摘要】 本文通过文化教学的目标、内容、挑战等多个视角，着重强调了中国文化在英语教学中的重要性。许多外语教师在教学中导入文化内容，以期激发学生、促进学生有效学习英语。文化知识的导入的确在一定程度上丰富了学生的知识，提高了学生的跨文化意识，但是，却无法进行真正有效地双向跨文化交际。究其原因，本文认为外语教育中的文化教学被误当作是英美文化或西方文化的教学，母语文化或中国文化被完全忽视。因此，许多英语学习者在谈到有关中国文化的内容时，无法用英语进行有效跨文化交流。显而易见，英语学习不应该只是了解英美或西方文化，还应更好地理解本民族文化并对外传播中国文化。外语教学应该帮助学习者加深对本民族文化的了解，以利于母语文化与目的语文化的相互理解。因此，中国外语教育中的文化教学应同时兼顾本族文化和目的语文化，即中国文化和外国文化兼容并举。为了探求结合中国文化的英语课堂教学实践，作者进行了两项调查研究。一项是以中西文化对比为重要手段的为期一学年的动态教学效果调查，研究对象为作者所在单位—金陵科技学院国际技术学院的国际合作项目的学生；另一项是本校国际合作办学外方专业课教学的观摩，本次观摩是以本文作者作为外方培训的全程翻译和授课班级的英语教师的双重身份得以实现的真实纪录。以上调查表明，基于中国文化的外语教学不但有利于中国学生语言能力的提高，还极大地培养了学生的跨文化交际能力。最后，本文提出了英语教学相应导入中国文化的建议，以加强和促进英语教育中的中国文化教学实践，并最终提高国际合作办学项目学生的双向跨文化交际能力。更多还原

【Abstract】 The thesis highlights the importance of Chinese culture in EFL teaching from different perspectives, such as the aim of culture teaching, the content of culture teaching and the challenges of culture teaching. Many teachers use cultural content in their classroom teaching, believing that such a focus will motivate their students and help them to achieve an effective learning. It has been proved that it does a help to the enlargement of students’ knowledge, the motivation raising and the improvement of their cross-cultural awareness. However, students still find it difficult to make a real two-side cross-cultural communication.The reason is that there is a general misconception among teachers and researchers that culture teaching in ELT largely means the teaching of the target English or western culture. Consequently, culture teaching in FLT in China has predominantly focused on the teaching of the target culture, with a general neglect of Chinese culture. As a consequence, many Chinese English learners still find it difficult to conduct effective intercultural communication and this is especially so when they are talking about things unique in Chinese culture. It is evident that English learning does not simply aim at learning about English or western culture, it also aims at having a better understanding of Chinese culture and transmitting it to foreigners. Foreign language teaching should help learners to understand their own culture, and more importantly, it should reflect the learners’ culture in order to aid mutual understanding. Hence, in China, culture teaching in English language teaching should include the teaching of Chinese culture as well as English culture.To explore the actual practice result of integrating Chinese culture in EFL classroom teaching, the author conducted two surveys: one is the quantitative study of culture teaching in EFL classroom practice through one academic year’s dynamic investigation, the subjects of which are the international program students of International College of Technology in Jinling Institute of Technology where the author is working; and the other is the qualitative study of Chinese culture in overseas specialized course’s learning, the authentic observations of which are based on the author as the interpreter for the native professional teacher and as the English teacher for the students.Finally, the corresponding suggestions for integrating Chinese culture into EFL teaching are made to promote Chinese culture teaching practice and ultimately improve students’ actual two-side intercultural communicative competence, especially for the international program students.更多还原
