【摘要】 当今世界，文化赖以发展的物质基础、社会环境传播条件发生了深刻的变化，因此对文化与经济的关系需要进行再认识。经济全球化和文化全球化的趋势不断加强，文化和经济之间出现了过去从未有过的相互融合和“一体化”的趋势，以致出现所谓“文化经济”和“经济文化”的现象，社会经济越来越呈现出一种新的文化表现形态。文化产业是现代经济发展的必然，已经成为现代经济的重要支柱之一，在国民经济中的地位和作用日益突出，成为一个国家综合国力的重要标志。 党的十六大提出要“积极发展文化事业和文化产业”之后，党的十六届五中全会再次强调指出要“深化文化体制改革，积极发展文化事业和文化产业，创造更多更好地适应人民群众要求的优秀文化作品。”随着海峡西岸经济区建设的不断推进，对福建来说，大力发展文化产业，建设“文化强省”已具备发展的条件和可能，实现由文化资源大省向文化产业大省转变，由文化大省向文化强省的跨越发展，是抢占产业制高点的明智选择，对于促进经济社会全面发展具有重大意义。本文主要以马克思关于“精神生产”是社会生产的一部分的思想为理论基础，在界定文化与文化产业概念的基础上，首先介绍了文化产业思想的渊源及历史演进，阐述了马克思“精神生产”理论的内涵，分析了文化产业发展与经济发展的有机联系。其次，重点探讨了文化产业在当代经济社会生活中涵盖的领域，国内外文化产业发展的趋势及总体比较。复次，客观地分析了海峡西岸经济区建设中文化产业发展的现状与存在的问题。再次，深刻阐明了大力发展文化产业在海峡西岸经济区建设中的战略地位、重要作用与重大意义。最后，指明了加快海峡西岸经济区文化产业发展的总体思路。更多还原
