多波段光电图像融合技术研究

【摘要】 图像融合技术是一门综合了传感器技术、图像处理、信号处理、计算机和人工智能等多种学科的有巨大应用前景的现代高新技术。本文分析了图像融合的目的、要求,研究了部分现有的图像融合方法,实现了多种多分辨率图像融合算法;针对某些视觉辅助任务对实时性和融合图像的具体要求,结合使用的源图像(红外图像和可见光图像)的具体特点,提出了一种基于红外特征和区域相似的图像融合算法,这种算法的运算速度很快,得到的融合图像既保留了可见光的细节信息,又保留了红外图像的目标信息,提高了图像的对比度,降低了图像释义的难度;分析了图像融合质量评估的主要评价机制,结合灰度图像融合的目的和要求,提出了一种新的与主观评价结果一致的基于图像相似的客观评价方法。

【Abstract】 Image fusion is a modern high technology that integrates many sciences, such as sensor technology, image processing, signal processing, computer engineering and artificial intelligent. It is of great application importance to either military or civil fields.In this paper, we discussed the goal and requirements of image fusion, analyzed some of the commonly used algorithms and developed several multiresolution image fusion algorithms. For some human-aided applications, a novel infrared feature and region similarity based image fusion scheme is proposed, which takes full consideration of the requirements on real-time and the fused image, as well as the characteristics of the infrared and visible images which are used in the fusion. The algorithm proposed in this paper is fast, and the produced image is of high contrast and preserves the details in the visible image, as well as the target information in the infrared. Hence it is much easier for the observer to interpret the scene. Finally, the fusion performance evaluation algorithms are studied and a novel similarity based objective evaluation metric, which is consistence with human subjective evaluation, for gray image fusion is proposed.
