IP/DWDM光Internet中一体化柔性QoS路由机制的研究及其仿真实现

【摘要】 Internet应用的迅猛发展导致了对骨干网的巨大的带宽需求,密集波分复用DWDM(Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing)技术可以提供丰富的带宽资源,满足Internet的带宽需求。传统DWDM技术只是应用于点到点网络中来增加带宽容量,这样的网络缺乏可伸缩性,费用昂贵,操作复杂且效率较低。很多新应用的出现,要求网络具有更加灵活、快速、可伸缩的组网能力,能够提供多层服务质量QoS(Quality of Service)支持、光重路由和快速恢复等功能。此外,为了节省费用,易于操作,要求简化网络体系结构,减少网络层次。因此,去掉中间层(例如SONET/SDH,ATM),将IP直接承载在DWDM上的IP/DWDM光Internet被认为是正确的选择。 路由技术是网络中的核心技术之一。本文考虑单播、同构组播和异构组播三种情形,设计了IP/DWDM光Internet中的一体化柔性QoS路由机制。设计的机制基于GMPLS(Generalized Multiprotocol Label Switching)框架,将不同的流量动态结合起来,引入疏导功能,提高网络资源利用率;引入模糊数学方法,提供柔性QoS支持;综合考虑网络提供方和用户的双方利益,采用微观经济学和博弈论方法,找到网络提供方和用户的“双赢”解。由于该问题的NP完全属性,分别采用量子遗传算法和细菌群趋药性算法予以解决。同时,集成波长分配算法,一体化解决路由和波长分配问题。 为了评估设计的路由机制的性能,设计并开发了仿真软件,进行了大量的仿真研究。结果表明,设计的路由机制可以有效地解决IP/DWDM光Internet中的路由问题,比较令人满意。
【Abstract】 Expanding Internet services are driving the need for evermore bandwidth in the network backbone. Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) technology can exploit enormous transport capacity, meeting such a demand for bandwidth. While DWDM has been traditionally used just to increase the transport capacity in point-to-point networks, which leads the networks to weak scalability, expensive cost, complex operation and low efficiency. New emerging applications require the networks to support fast and flexible provisioning, multiple levels of Quality of Service (QoS), optical rerouting and fast restoration. Furthermore, the architectural complexity of the networks has to be reduced in order to save costs and ease their management. In this context, the IP/DWDM optical Internet which runs IP directly over the DWDM layer to eliminate one or more of intermediate layers (e.g., SONET/SDH, ATM) is expected to be the right solution.Routing problem is one of the key technologies in networks. In consideration of unicast, homogeneous and heterogeneous multicast, integrated flexible QoS routing mechanisms in IP/DWDM optical Internet are proposed in this paper. Based on the Generalized Multiprotocol Label Switching (GMPLS) framework, the proposed routing mechanisms can combine different flows dynamically, introducing grooming function to increase the resource utilization. In order to support flexible QoS, fuzzy method is adopted, and to consider both network service providers and users, microeconomics and game theory are used to achieve "double win". Due to their NP-complete nature, Quantum Genetic Algorithm and Bacterial Colony Chemotaxis Algorithm are uesed respectively. And wavelength assignment algorithms are embedded. Hence, routing and wavelength assignment can be solved integratedly.To evaluate the performance of the proposed routing mechanisms, simulation software has been designed and developed. Lots of simulation studies have been done, and the results have shown that the proposed routing mechanisms can solve the routing problems in IP/DWDM optical Internet efficiently and effectively.
