【Abstract】 Regional culture bears a close connection with the emergence and development of contemporary art. As an international metropolis with varied cultures and liberal and free climate for art, Shanghai has provided fertile soil for the growth of abstract art, where abstract artists in Shanghai carried out their exploration and achieved purity in language. This city boasts a large audience who are cultivated in the appreciation of abstract art, and attracts a lot of artists from outside Shanghai with its friendly climate. They either settle down in here or participate in group exhibitions in Shanghai. There have been a good number of abstract art of substantial content and varied form in the past twenty years. Abstract art of Shanghai has become an important genre of contemporary art, gaining momentum as it goes, with great variety and new concepts.更多还原
