视频压缩算法在数字多媒体处理器上的应用技术研究

【摘要】 视频压缩技术是多媒体技术发展的关键问题之一,已经成为一个重要的研究课题,由此产生的各种视频压缩国际标准则为视频数据的传输和存储提供了解决方案,并推动了视频压缩技术的发展和拓展了其应用领域。H.263视频压缩标准是ITU-T为适应低码率视频通信的要求并在H.261的基础上而提出的。它在信源编码上采用了与H.261标准相类似的混合编码技术:在空域上采用DCT变换编码方式消除空间冗余,在时域上采用帧间预测编码消除时间冗余;但它取消了H.261标准中的环路滤波器,而在传输上采用可变长度编码(VLC)技术和在解码恢复中改用半像素运动补偿技术来降低码率,除了基本模式外,还提供了多种可供选择的增强编码模式来适应通信系统或信道的需求:无限制运动矢量模式、先进预测模式、PB帧模式及基于语法的算术编码模式。这些可选模式都可以单独使用或结合使用。 本文所做的工作 本文的研究目标和内容:了解视频压缩标准的意义、发展过程,深入研究H.263标准的工作原理和核心算法。根据H.263的工作原理,结合TMS320DM642的硬件特性,利用高速电子设计理论设计基于TMS320DM642的H.263的硬件实现平台,该平台主要是由DSP(DM642)、FPGA、视频编\解码芯片(SAA7113\SAA7121)以及其它外围模块(SDRAM、E2PROM)等构成;并在平台上实现H.263压缩算法,最后研究了压缩算法中基于DSP的各种优化方法和优化技术。本文第一章简单介绍了视频压缩的发展历程,第二章深入介绍了H.263视频压缩标准,第三章详细介绍TMS320DM642芯片以及实现平台的设计方案,给出详细的电路原理图,并介绍了高速PCB设计理论及板级仿真结果。第四章系统阐述了在平台上如何实现H.263压缩标准算法,给出了主要的程序流程图和核心算法的源代码,并深入讨论了在存储器、程序代码级上优化算法。
【Abstract】 The video compression technology has already became an important topic, was also one of the key questions in multimedia technological development, but the video compression international criterion based on it has provided the solution for the video data transmission and the memory, impelled the video compression technology development, and developed its application. The H.263 standard was proposed for adapting the low code rate video communication request and based on the H.261 foundation by ITU-T (ITU Telecommunication Standardization) . It has used the mix code technology which is similar with the H.261 standard in the source code: Using the transformation coding method to remove the spatial redundancy in the air domain and using the frame predictive coding to remove the time redundancy in the time domain. But it has cancelled the loopfilter in the H.261 standard. Besides basic pattern, it also provided many kinds of pattern for adapting the communications system or the channel demand: Unrestriced Motion Vector mode、 Advanced Prediction mode、 PB-frames mode、 Syntax-based Arithmetic Coding mode. These chosen patterns may be used independently or unifily.The work of this articleThe main contents are as follows: Understard the significance of video compression standard, and its developing process, studying H.263 Principle of work and core algorithm thoroughly. According to the H.263 principle of work, unifing the hardware characteristic of TMS320DM642, I design the H.263 hardware developing platform based on the TMS320DM642 by using high speed electron design theoretical. This platform is mainly made up of DSP (DM642), FPGA, Video Coding\Decoding chip as well as other periphery modules (SDRAM, E2PR0M) and so on. Finally realize the H.263 compression algorithm in the platform. And will have a research in the video compression each optimization method and the optimized technology based DSP. The first chapter will introduce the video compression development course. The second chapter will introduce the H.263 video compression standard. The third chapter will introduce the TMS320DM642 and the design proposal of platform, produce the detailed electric circuit schematic diagram, and introduce the high speed PCB design theory andthe board level simulation result. The fourth chapter will elaborate how to realize H.263 in the platform systemly, will produce the main program flow diagram and the core algorithm source code, and optimizing the system in the memory system and procedure code level.
