Rhodotron型加速器的动力学研究

【摘要】 Rhodotron是一种新型的CW电子加速器,已经被广泛应用在辐照加工领域。论文在研究Rhodotron加速原理的基础上,建立一套理论分析和动力学模拟计算相结合的研究方法,利用这套研究方法,有助于自主研制此类用于工业辐照的电子加速器。通过调研总结,论文从整体上明确这类加速器结构设计的方向:紧凑的结构、CW工作状态、高功率、高能量转化率。基于这种设计思路,论文对Rhodotron的各个子系统的结构和功能进行全面的分析。论文还从理论上分析研究了同步加速、纵向振荡以及横向聚焦等物理问题,为接下来的计算机程序模拟工作铺垫理论基础。论文利用Runge-Kutta方法计算单粒子动力学过程,用来校验Parmela程序模拟计算的可行性。在此基础上,论文利用Parmela对Rhodotron的束流动力学过程进行全面的研究,深入分析束团的同步条件、相聚过程等纵向动力学问题,以及束流横向聚焦过程、空间电荷效应等横向动力学问题。论文针对Rhodotron的频率特性、功率特性、注入电压以及束流负载特性等一系列工作特性,结合动力学模拟和理论推导,总结出优化设计的原则。根据这个原则,综合各种因素的影响,将模拟计算的最终结果与Rhodotron的原型机的实际参数相比较,发现二者的结果基本一致。由此,这套研究方法的可行性得到验证。
【Abstract】 The Rhodotron, a new CW electron accelerator, has been applied widelyin many fields of industrial irradiation. Based on acceleration principle of theRhodotron, a systematic research method combining theoretical analyses anddynamics simulation is introduced. It is very helpful to develop this kind ofelectron accelerator for industrial irradiation independently.Through broad investigation, this paper generalizes some features fromthis kind of accelerators: compact structure, CW mode, high output power andso on. Then, this paper not only makes a comprehensive analysis on structureand functions of all of subsystems of the Rhodotron, but also studies somephysics problems further such as synchronous condition, longitudinaloscillation and transverse focusing.The result of simulating single particle acceleration process byRunge-Kutta method is compared with dynamics simulation by Parmela code.Their similarity validates the research method by Parmela code. Then beamdynamics characteristics simulations of the Rhodotron is performed includinglongitude phase convergence transverse beam focusing, space charge effectand so on.Moreover this paper studies the operating characteristics such as workingfrequency, RF power, injecting voltage and beam load. By generalizing theirregularities, this paper gives the optimization rule of choosing the operatingparameters. Based on the rule, the simulation results agree with theoperational parameters of the Rhodotron prototype. It confirms the researchmethod’s feasibility.
