微结构光纤的参数测试与研究

【摘要】 本文主要研究微结构光纤的光子带隙的特性,采用透射谱的测量方法,分别对两种微结构光纤即光子带隙型微结构光纤和折射率引导型微结构光纤的参数在不同波段情况下进行了测试。通过不断的摸索,搭建了可见光和近红外波段的测量平台,采用数值模拟方法计算得到了微结构光纤的能带图,并对光子带隙的特性进行了分析。在理论分析的工作中,研究了全矢量平面波展开法,利用该方法建立了一维和二维光子晶体能带结构的模型,采用该方法对二维光子晶体平面内和平面外两种传输情况下的能带进行了计算,并通过能带图的形式进行了简单明了的显示。在实验工作中,在可见光波段的测量装置的基础上,搭建了近红外波段的测量装置,使得可以在300~3 000 nm宽的波长范围内研究微结构光纤的特性。在实验平台的搭建过程中,设计和制作了耦合装置,采用了锥形光纤、传能光纤、多组耦合透镜以及五维调节架等将光源在输出狭缝输出的光,准直地注入到微结构光纤的纤芯中,使光信号的数据采集、光电探测器的稳定性都得到了提高。在测量工作上,主要对两种不同参数的空芯微结构光纤及单实芯、双实芯、集束式微结构光纤进行了透射谱的测定。实验结果表明,在可见光波段没有光子带隙产生,而在近红外、中红外波段出现了几个较强的透射带,与利用平面波展开法计算所得的结果保持了一致,也进一步验证了透射谱测量方法的可行性。

【Abstract】 The characteristic of photonic bandgap in Microstructure Fiber (MSF) isstudied in this dissertation. The method of transmission spectrum is utilized tomeasure the parameters of Photonic Bandgap MSF (PBG-MSF) and RefractiveIndex Guiding MSF (RG-MSF) in different regions. With endless exploration,the measurement equipment is set up, and the photonic bandgaps of PBG -MSFare calculated and analysised by numerical simulation.In theory, The Plane Wave Method (PWM) is researched. The one-dimensional (1D) and two-dimensional (2D) Photonic Crystal (PC) model isdeveloped and used to calculate the energy band structure of 1D and 2D PCbased on PWM method. Especially, the transmission spectra of 2D PC in thetwo cases of in-plane and off-plane are calculated. It is a clear and simple styleby using the energy band structures.In experiments, the measurement equipment of the near-infrared regionbased on the fitting system of the visible light region is set up. So thecharacteristic of the MSF could be analysised from 300 nm to 3 000 nm. Duringthe whole establishing, the intensity of optical source is controlled by theelectrical current of the power supply. To keep the light collimating with thecore of the fibers, the tapered fibers, the transmitting-energy fibers, group oflens and five-dimensional adjusting frame are also utilized. During the datacollection of the light signal, the stability of the photoelectric detector is highlyimproved in the measurement system.During the measurement, two kinds of MSF including hollow-core MSFand single-core, dual-cores and integrated MSF with different parameters aresurveyed. The experimental results indicate that there are several strongtransmission bands in the near-infrared and mid-infrared regions, but hardlyany bandgaps in the visible region, which is consistent with the result oftheoretical computation. The method of measuring the transmission spectrum isproved feasible.
