【摘要】 过去,计算机和因特网广泛应用于在全球范围内发送和接收大量的商业和科学数据。但是现在它们越来越多的是用于人际交往,即以计算机为中介的网络交际或简称网络交际。在计算机网络上,人们远距离即时交换书面文档,简单,廉价而又不受地理位置,国籍,肤色或者种族等因素的限制。这种便利性使得来自世界各地的网络使用者能够随时利用网络交际的各种手段相互联系,因此,跨文化交际的发生比以前任何时候都要容易和频繁。 本文首先简要回顾了跨文化交际及其相关研究的发展情况,并对目前跨文化网络交际的研究现状做了总结,阐明了从跨文化的角度进行相关方面研究的必要性。第二部分关于因特网的简明信息包括发展史,主要应用和相关术语,和第三部分对网络交际的详尽介绍,涉及主要方式,新的交流手段,重要特征和网络礼仪是理解全文基本而又不可或缺的背景知识。 网络交际的实用性永远的改变了人类生活的世界,这是自工业革命以来人们在工作方式、购物方式、交流和买卖方式等方面目睹的最为意义深远的变化。第四和第五部分是全文的重点,全面考察网络交际对跨文化交际产生的巨大冲击,从机会和挑战两方面来分析。网络交际给跨文化交际带来的发展机会从三点展开:(1)促使跨文化网络交际的出现:(2)跨文化交际在网络交际的影响下得到了最大程度地发展;(3)给跨文化交际学开辟了新的研究领域。挑战也从三个方面阐明:(1)网络文化帝国主义,网络交际中英语及其所代表的文化的应用远远多于其他语言及文化,占有绝对的统治地位,影响了跨文化交际中语言与文化的平衡和平等发展;(2)文化差异,一个民族基本的信仰,价值观和行为模式是根深蒂固的,与别的民族或多或少有差异,甚至是完全矛盾的。当来自不同文化背景的人进行网络交际,错误传达和文化误解等难以避免,严重影响了跨文化交际的质量;(3)网络伦理道德问题,基于网络交际中匿名和无中心权利等特点,诸如网上发泄,垃圾邮件,黑客,病毒等伦理道德问题在网络交际中时常发生,使得跨文化交际不健康,不安全。 身处信息全球化的时代,越来越多的人通过网络交流和合作,但是上述问题的存在无疑是顺畅沟通和合作的拦路虎。鉴于此,第六部分针对每种挑战提出了可行的建议以提高跨文化网络交际的能力促成更多的合作。只要对网络交际给跨文化交际带来的挑战采取积极的态度和措施,跨文化网络交际一定会加深国与国之间的互相理解继而促进在诸如经济、教育、科技等方面的合作,共同进步。更多还原

【Abstract】 Computer and the Internet have in the past been commonly used to send and receive vast amounts of business and scientific data around the globe. Increasing in popularity, however, is their use in person-to-person communication, called computer-mediated communication. Over the computer networks, people exchange written documents instantaneously, easily, at low cost, and over long distances without the restriction of physical location, nationality, skin color or race etc., which allows users from around the world to connect with each other at any moment by means of CMC, that is, intercultural communication occurs more easily and frequently than before.This thesis begins with a brief review of the intercultural communication and a summary of the current research on the online intercultural communication, illustrating the necessity of conducting researches in this regard from the intercultural perspective. Then, the brief information about the Internet, including its history, main applications and two related terms, and the elaborate introduction to CMC, involving main forms of CMC, new communication means in CMC, key features and netiquette in the following two parts serve as basic but indispensable knowledge for the whole thesis.The availability of CMC has forever altered the world people live in. Not since the industrial revolution, have people witnessed the profound change in the way they work, they shop, they communicate and conduct business. The fourth and the fifth part which are the highlights of the thesis examine how CMC immensely impacts intercultural communication, with both the opportunity and the challenge touched upon. The opportunity is unfolded from three aspects: (1) The emergence of intercultural computer-mediated communication. (2) The utmost development of intercultural communication on account of the key features of CMC. (3) A new research area in the intercultural communication studies. The challenge is clarified from three points as well: (1) Cultural imperialism in CMC. The domination of English and its culture that exceed a lot than others in CMC affects the balance andequality of languages and cultures in intercultural communication. (2) Cultural differences. Because the deep-seated basic belief, value and behavioral patterns of a nation are more or less different from, or even absolutely contradictive to those of others, when people from distinct cultures conduct CMC, miscommunication and cultural misunderstanding cannot be avoided, seriously impeding successful intercultural communication. (3) Cyberethical problems. Due to the features like anonymity and no central power in CMC, ethical problems such as flaming, spamming, hacking, virus etc. abound on the Internet, making intercultural communication unhealthy and insecure.In an age of information globalization, more and more people communicate and work together via CMC, but some obstacles such as the above-mentioned ones lie in the way. In view of this, accessible suggestions to conquer the challenge are put forward in the sixth part to improve the intercultural communication competence for better cooperation. So long as positive attitudes and measures are taken, the intercultural CMC will deepen understanding between countries and promote more cooperation in the field like economy, education and technology etc. for mutual advances.更多还原
