基于多层策略网络管理系统研究

【摘要】 随着实时应用进入IP网络,服务质量(quality of services)的问题越来越引起人们的关注。为了在IP网中为各种业务提供QoS保证,IETF提出综合服务(IntServ)和区分服务(DiffServ)两种模型结构。新的网络应用模型要求网络管理系统更多的关注服务层的管理。然而,传统的网络管理系统主要关注网络层和设备层的管理,与服务层管理脱节,已经不能适应QoS网络对网络管理带来的新挑战。为此,IETF提出了基于策略的网络管理(policy-based network management)方案。 目前基于策略网络管理的研究工作主要集中两个方面:策略规则研究,包括策略定义语言,冲突检测等研究工作;策略网管系统的研究,包括系统结构设计,模块功能设计和应用相关协议进行策略存储或部署等研究工作。然而,这些研究很少聚焦于综合分析策略层次结构的合理性;解决不同层次的策略和更高级的业务运营系统之间的协调性;解决在不同类型设备组成的网络中,在不对策略规则进行大范围修改的情况下,策略的自动部署问题。 针对目前网络策略管理研究现状,文章通过分析QoS网络体系结构、以及当前IETF标准,在对比当前基于策略网络管理方案的基础上,首先提出一套基于多层策略的网络管理方案,并着重讨论策略规则,策略层次转换,策略存储方式的设计,具体策略与管理协议的结合等问题;然后讨论策略管理在局域网中的扩展问题,主要在分析局域网管理任务的基础上,实现管理任务的自动部署;同时,初步讨论传统网管与本文提出的基于多层策略网络管理系统的结合问题;最后讨论基于多层策略网络管理系统的实现和测试问题。本课题的工作为进一步深入策略驱动的网络管理研究提供了良好的基础。

【Abstract】 As real-time IP services have been widely provided, the quality of services (QoS) has been given more and more attention. Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) has set up two QoS models (IntServ & DiffServ) for IP services. The new models require the network management systems pay more attention to the service level management. However, the traditional network management systems are designed mainly for network level management and network element level management, leaving the gap to service level management, which prevents the traditional management systems from meeting challenges produced by QoS. There for IETF has introduced the concept of policy-based network management to solve the problem.At present, most researches on policy-based network management focuses on two aspects: policy rule research and policy-based network management system. These research works seldom analyse the rationality of the mulit-level structure of the policy rules, the consistency between policies on different levels and service operation system on higher level and solve the problems of automatic deployment in networks constructed by diverse devices from different producers.This thesis focuses on three aspects: the rationality of policy, the design of policy-based network management system and expansion of policy. The work is based on IETF standard policy-based management system model. Firstly, we propose a multi-level policy management project which focuses on analyzing policy rules, policy transform, policy storage and the combination of the instance policy and management protocols. Secondly, we discuss the expansion of policy rules in LAN, mainly on extending the multi-level policy to realize automatic deployment of management tasks. At the same time, we discuss the combination of the multi-level policy and the conventional network management modules. Finally, we build the multi-level policy-based network management system with Java. Work in this thesis sets up the foundation for further research on policy-based network management.
