虚拟城市三维建模的理论与方法研究

【摘要】 虚拟城市作为数字城市的虚拟表达、运行环境和交互界面,是以地理信息技术、计算机技术、现代通讯网络技术、虚拟现实技术的综合应用为基础构造的多维信息空间或网络空间,为广大公众在其中参与城市规划和设计,进行社会交往和交流提供了电脑化、网络化、虚拟化的新型场所。在虚拟城市的建设中,三维建模是最基础、最重要的工作之一,也是虚拟城市系统的重要组成部分。本文重点研究了虚拟城市建设中三维建模的理论与方法,并实现了一个虚拟城市漫游实验系统。 论文主要内容包括:虚拟城市三维建模的数据获取问题;对国内外虚拟城市三维建模软件、实现虚拟城市漫游系统的常用软件进行对比分析;如何利用MultiGen公司的Creator软件进行虚拟城市建设中各种地形、地物的三维建模;如何利用Vega软件开发虚拟城市漫游系统;虚拟城市三维建模中一些关键技术的研究;实现虚拟城市漫游系统的一些关键技术研究;最后对虚拟城市技术与地理信息系统技术的结合研究作了展望。
【Abstract】 As the virtual expression, operational environment and interactive interface of the digital city, Virtual city is the multi-dimensional information space and network information space based on the integration of geographic information system technology, computer technology, modern communication network technology, virtual reality technology. Virtual city provides a new kind room for the people to participate in the plan, design and management of the city. In the construction of the virtual city, 3D modeling is one of the most important fundamental works, it is also the important part of the virtual city system. This thesis mainly studied the theory and method of the virtual city 3D modeling, realized a experimental system of virtual city.The major study contents of this thesis concludes: the data capture of the virtual city 3D modeling; the comparative study on the common softwares in virtual city 3D modeling and the realization of virtual city roamming system; how to use Creator software of the MultiGen Inc. to model the terrain and all kinds of building in the virtual city system; how to use the Vega software of the MultiGen Inc. to develop the virtual city roamming system; the study of some key technologies in the 3D modeling of the virtual city and virtual city roamming system. At last the author prospected the integrated study of the virtual city technology and geographical information system technology.
