图像处理与识别在牙X线影像中的应用

【摘要】 在医学图像的处理中,目标对象的定位和边缘提取至关重要,它是定量分析和辅助诊断的基础。本文主要研究在图像处理和识别技术的基础上,结合牙体形态学知识,针对X线曲面体层片影像,提出了一个从X线牙片中定位并提取牙齿轮廓的方法。论文首先分析了牙X线影像的结构特征,通过使用形态学方法完成牙体组织的粗定位,缩小了图像处理的范围,再根据牙齿及周围组织影像的特点划分出单个的牙齿,最后针对牙齿各段边缘的不同特点使用多种方法完成其轮廓的提取。经过实验证明,这种方法是可行的,是自动提取牙齿轮廓方面的一个有益探索。

【Abstract】 Location and edge detection of the target object is crucial in the medical image processing and it is the base of quantitative analysis and aid diagnosis. Based on the technology of digital image processing and recognition, combining with tooth morphologic knowledge, a solution of locating and contour extracting of teeth from the radiography is proposed. This paper analyzes the structure characters of tooth radiograph at first. Then uses the math morphology method to locate the teeth approximately. And plots out a single tooth according to the characters of the tooth and it’s surrounding tissues. At last, some edge detecting methods are used to extract the tooth’ contour in accordance with the different characters of each edge of this tooth. Proved by many tests, this method is feasible and it is a profitable exploration in extracting the dental contours automatically.
