【摘要】 本文根据3GPP规范,对WCDMA的覆盖与容量规划进行了分析研究。WCDMA在接入技术上比2G有了很大改善,这也使相应的网络规划方法发生了改变。与以往2G网络规划的传统静态预测不同,设计好一个WCDMA网络关键在于如何平衡覆盖与容量的关系。本文是按照网络规划步骤展开分析的。首先使用静态分析计算得到基站覆盖的大致距离,以确定区域的基站密度和分布,这是进行网络仿真预测的基础;然后分析单一业务时覆盖与容量的关系;最后使用Monte Carlo法仿真多业务混合时的覆盖与容量状况。文中针对仿真预测中容易出现的问题进行了探讨,重点介绍了WCDMA传播模型的校正方法,同时使用一种新的基于负荷估计的呼叫接入控制算法来更好地模拟用户的干扰水平,在一定程度上提高了仿真预测的准确度,为将来网络的建设提供了借鉴。

【Abstract】 The present thesis introduces the coverage and capacity planning for WCDMA, as defined by 3GPP. WCDMA has used some new technologies to improve its radio access ability. These new technologies have brought about vast changes within the network planning, implementation, and optimization. With WCDMA planning a whole different philosophy applies, the relative simplicity involved in the planning of 2G, due to the finite parameters, is now not applicable. The planning of a WCDMA network is now a complex balancing act between coverage and capacity simultaneously. This thesis consists of three parts: firstly, using the static method, it is possible to calculate the distance of base station’s coverage. Site densities and actual locations can be found. Secondly, static simulations can be used for regional validation , it is important to get the relationship between capactiy and coverage for uniform service. At last, through the utilization of Monte Carlo algorithms , we can provide the most accurate statistical predictions for various services . This thesis provides some methods to solve the problems on simulation , one is about the propagation tunning for WCDMA , the other is using a new call admission control algorithm to control the system loads . These will result in more accurate predictions and provide references for the construction of WCDMA.
