篮球对象分割和跟踪关键技术研究

【摘要】 各种各样国际、国内体育赛事的举办,直接导致体育视频数据的爆炸式增长。因此,高效的体育视频分析很有必要。本文以篮球比赛视频分析为例,侧重于研究比赛关键对象——篮球的分割和实时跟踪。首先根据近景镜头和远景镜头中篮球的特征,设计相应算法完成篮球分割;然后采用基于帧间跟踪方式分割后续帧中的篮球。具体内容包括: 1. 在近景镜头篮球分割中,首先根据篮球颜色分布的一致性进行彩色分割;然后利用方向可变滤波器检测图像边缘及边缘方向特性;最后基于边缘点及其方向改进Hough 变换,提取篮球圆心和半径。2. 在远景镜头篮球分割中,首先采用Gauss 滤波平滑图像噪声;其次,采用帧间差分离背景区域,并对连通区域进行标号;然后,根据篮球特征制定“篮球识别策略”,保留候选篮球区域;最后修正边缘偏差,并采用改进的活动轮廓模型建立候选区域提取的最优解策略。3. 根据篮球运动的时间相关性,提出基于帧间的篮球跟踪方法。首先利用已分割篮球的基本特征建立对象模板和自适应对象模型;然后利用对象模型改进块匹配法跟踪篮球;最后修正跟踪偏差,并建立篮球跟踪有效性检测机制。4. 对篮球运动路线的提取和描述进行了初步的研究,并建立篮球分割和跟踪实验平台。

【Abstract】 The large numbers of sport games brought the explosive expanding of sport video directly. Therefore, efficient sport video analysis is necessary. In this paper, the segmentation and tracking of basketball are studied for video analysis of basketball game. Firstly, according to the characteristic of basketball in close shots and establishing shots, we design the corresponding algorithms for segmentation of basketball. Then, the algorithms of basketball tracking are designed and implemented. The details are as following: 1. Firstly, the basketball segmentation in close shots is studied. According to the consistency of basketball color, color segmentation is implemented. Then with the help of steerable filters, the method detects image edges and the orientations of them. Lastly, based on edges and their orientations, Hough transform is improved to get the circle center and the radius of basketball. 2. In the basketball segmentation in establishing shots, Gauss filter is adopted to smooth noise in the image firstly. Secondly, the background is separated by the difference of inter-frame and the connected regions are labeled. Thirdly, a strategy is designed to identify basketball by the characteristic of basketball. Finally, the edge deviation is revised and the optimal result is obtained using improved Snakes. 3. Tracking of basketball is studied. Firstly, the basketball object template and adaptive object model are established by using the basic characteristic of segmented basketball in the former frame. Then an improved block-matching algorithm is proposed for tracking the basketball. Finally, the edge of basketball is revised, and the mechanism for tracking validity is established. 4. Finally, the extraction and description of basketball trajectory is studied preparatorily. And experiment platform is built.
