基于RTP的MPEG-4传输方法研究与实践

【摘要】 随着互联网的广泛应用,人们对多媒体通信的要求不断增多,层次不断深入。新一代基于音、视频对象编码的标准——MPEG-4的出现,适应了当前多媒体应用的发展,事实上正在逐渐成为多媒体通信的主流技术。在MPEG-4标准中虽然给出了一个多媒体传输集成框架(Delivery Multimedia Integration Framework,DMIF),但并没有针对各种信息传播网络定义具体的实现细节,面对互联网广泛应用的当今时代,基于IP网络的MPEG-4传输方法的研究显得尤其重要而有意义。 本文首先介绍了MPEG-4标准的体系结构、实时流媒体协议以及当前MPEG-4传输研究的现状,并在此基础之上,使用面向对象技术对MPEG-4文件进行了剖析,研究了MPEG-4的同步层和传输框架(DMIF)的传输机制。针对当前互联网的现状,设计了一种基于RTP的传输MPEG-4媒体数据的可行方案;也就是在MPEG-4的多媒体传输集成框架(DMIF)下,如何实现DMIF中的数据平面,并设计了一个打包算法保证MPEG-4媒体数据在网络上的高效传输。最后,对所设计的方案予以实现,实验检测结果表明,该方案可以正确、高效地传输MPEG-4媒体数据。
【Abstract】 With the extensive application of Internet, the requirement for multimedia communications grows more and more strongly. The appearance of MPEG-4, which is the new generation standard based on coding of audio-visual objects, has met the needs for the current development of multimedia. In fact, it is growing as the main technology of multimedia delivery. The standard only gives a Delivery Multimedia Integration Framework (DMIF), and doesn’t define the specific realization details aiming at every kind of information network. In the face of current extensive use of Internet, it is especially urgent and significant to make some research on MPEG-4 delivery means based on IP network.What is introduced first in this thesis are MPEG-4 system architecture, real-time streaming protocol in the MPEG-4 standard and the present research on MPEG-4. And on basis of the introduction, the thesis goes on to anatomize the DMIF. Then present a feasible scheme for delivering the media data of MPEG-4. In other words, the thesis emphasizes the research on how to implement the data plane of DMIF, namely, on the methods of how to deliver the media data of MPEG-4 and devise an effective packeting algorithm to guarantee the effective delivery of the media data of MPEG-4. Finally, we implement the scheme, and the testing results indicate that it can accurately and effectively deliver the media data of MPEG-4.
